Nintendo Q3 FY 2025 earnings: Switch 2 17.37M, Switch 155.37M, and more

Take out the launch and switch 2 is not selling much better then switch 1 in western countries last year if you think that's not momentum slowing down that's on you but its Cleary a valid opinion to have.

Americas 1.71m, Europe 1.48m, Other 430k 2024 Q3 switch 1 8 years in.
Americas 2.30m, Europe 1.70m, Other 0.57m Q3

And this is with Nintendo over stuffing the channels for its first holidays in western countries its cleary slowing down.
Take out the launch?
What else do we have? This is some new level copium spinning 😆

Switch 1 took 14 months to achieve what Switch 2 did in 7 months. That's 2:1

Who cares about initially?

Series consoles sold like shit since PS5 became available on shelves

And like half of those sales are from the cheap-ass Series S that was available for $200 at some point
Still sold good at 1st and PS5 didn't stay on the shelves for over a year.
Which version did what is irrelevant 🧐

This
I was one of the few who shit all over the Wii U and didn't say the Switch would bomb.

Anyway good numbers, it's absolutely insane that Japan is a bigger market for this then America and Europe.

Switch 1 is losing stream fast. Will it be able to sell another 5 or 6 million? It's looking harder.
it's the king of backhanded compliments... but at least you are consistent lol.

Is not normal at all… Its the first console in the video game history achieving that… So, some of you are starting to look like clowns here.

Clowns are the one expecting them to sell what? 4 millions after 8 years without a new Nintendo console on the market

After a console that sold what? 150 millions

One take away from all this, is how good Nintendo have been in selling Switch 2 consoles to retailers, who already have masses of unsold stock. Microsoft should be taking notes lol..

You are going to end like the old Sweettooth if you continue that path… This thread is about global sells, ignoring that the Japanese market exists to fuel your argument is going to guide you to dark places.
The argument that most had was switch 2 is slowing down in western countries. keep in mind that switch 2 had supply issues in japan so these shipment numbers are also inflated for japan once stock is full it would not be shipping that much units there cause it basically did switch 1 numbers for holidays in japan and shipments were much lower in comparison.

*If 🤣🤣🤣

Fastest doesn't mean anything, when the launch conditions aren't the same for every console....

It's like saying Xbox Series is successful because it sold great in 2021

Who gives a shit?

We talk about consoles sold based on a financial report as a source

That doen't mean we give a fuck about shareholders.....

Dear God....
No, but we had a big thread about Nintendo stocks "collapsing" a few days ago… Its not important now? 🤣 BTW… I own stocks 😉 For the big 3.

Just a reminder - after first 12m on market, 3DS was ahead of NDS by 5mio units or 50%. Final result was much less impressive
Strong start never imply long term success

The one moving the goalposts is you: shifting the narrative to "fastest ever" because the numbers are already trending down....

So yeah let's go back to the Q2 numbers !

LOL
When you continue to break sale records...a pothole in the road isn't even enough to stop momentum.

Lol, you keep repeating the same thing over and over, almost nobody here is expecting the Switch 2 to sell 155 million like the Switch 1… So, everybody is expecting a slowdown eventually. The issue here is you and others trying to hard to prove something that everybody known is going to happen because are salty as f*ck. But, you can continue your nonsense if you want. I am enjoying it.

Thing is 10.4 for launching quarters was massive, but 7 for holidays quarter is good but that's it, good.

So yes, it seems to have slowed down. That doesn't mean it won't reach the 19 million objective or the aggregated numbers aren't still great., but if moving forward it keeps doing good but not great numbers soon it won't have record numbers.
You guys are just pathetic at this point. Nintendo from June...JUNE, saw the writing on the wall, and raised their initial estimates from 15 million to 19 million, and they're hitting and possibly SURPASSING that number by the end of the fiscal year. But somehow your mind is seeing this as a sales decline.

They are comparing it with the Console that probably is going to end up as the best selling console of all time… Makes sense 🤣

Barely 2:1 software:hardware attach ration seems…low? Are they counting bundled MKW in this? Because if so…

It's all guessing on my part, but I think a large part of the userbase may be playing Switch 1 games in higher quality. Most of the updates are free of charge so I don't know if they were listed in this report. If they are then disregard what I said, I'm only speculating..

That's almost entirely how I spent my first month with the Switch 2. Just seeing the improvements.
