Is that the first official confirmation of Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle's existence? o_O

Considering I'm not an official source, no. But with everyone telling us details about the game as well as Kotaku saying it's a August/September title, it's safe enough to put down :)

Redout (505 Games) - August 31, 2017

The PR from 505 Games does not mention the Switch, the retail release of August is only for PS4 and Xbox One. Kinda strange to see an indie game handled by two different companies but I guess we will have to check Nicalis for the Switch version here.

Also, you can add LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2, it's coming for Christmas 2017 on Switch (November 17 on PS4/Xbox One/PC) :)

Nicalis doesn't release retail versions in Europe, they do in North America though.

Added the Lego game, thanks!

Best pencil it in for 2020-never.

Why do they insist on releasing games on the same day, they did it with MK8D and Puyo Puyo Tetris as well. Why not spread them out more

I know you said retail releases, but it might be worth mentioning in the OP that some games (like Minecraft) are already available digitally.

What's the source of that BoI:AB+ date?

One of the distributors of the game. Headup Games is relatively small, so they use different distributors in different European countries. So keep in mind that the game might release a few days earlier or later depending on the country.

Just out of interest, why just do a retail release thread? Wouldn't it be better to have a single thread listing all European Switch releases, but split up between retail and downloads? Especially considering that the Eshop is being carefully curated at the moment, so we won't end up with loads of crap to wade through (hopefully).

A lot of people on here like to buy retail titles as they want to "own" their games. You can particularly see that with interest in publishers like Limited Run Games.

But it's also for practical reasons. eShop releases aren't really announced up-front, it's more on a weekly basis that we know what's coming next. For retail titles I have access to databases of distributors, so I have a pretty good overview of what is coming at what point in the future.

Is there a physical release of has been heroes in Europe?

April 4, 2017. If you haven't found it, then it's because it's exclusively sold at Gamestop.

Great answer, cheers!
