Normal New 3DS coming to the US with Happy Home designer bundle

Ordered, but I may contemplate canceling if I hear rumblings that a white N3DS is coming soon or if I just change my mind.
Gonna go look at pics of the white Japan N3DS to see what it looks like without faceplates.

Without plates, the battery and SD card are exposed. I'd invest in some face plates you actually like if you plan on picking this up.

I... I don't know if I want this? I mean, I do want a normal New 3DS, I have faceplates for it, and it might even be nice to have Happy Home Designer. But I'm guessing this thing will be a) $250 in Canada and b) possibly very limited. That said, I'm glad we at least get something, even if it's in usual Nintendo of America fashion (aka hope you enjoy getting screwed even when we give you what you want).

Pixel density is bad either way (for 2D pixel art games larger pixels are actually better) and the 3D effect is much nicer on the larger screen. New 3DS XL is also more ergonomic and feels less cramped, and if you are lucky, has an IPS screen (mine does). Afaik, all regular n3DSs have TN screens. So basically, they are crappier than XL in every regard other than weight.
For me, gameplay experience is what matters; faceplates certainly are nice for Nintendo's bank account but they have no effect on your games. (Racing stripes don't make your car faster, either).

I have used both, and the New 3DS feels much, much better than the XL. The New 3DS is the first Nintendo system in years to feel expensive when you hold it. Contrast that with the XL, which feels just as fucking cheap and mediocre as the old XL.
No. The Zelda New 3DS XL is GameStop exclusive. They never said anything about the New 3DS bundle.
So... Are people actually thanking NoA for making something which everyone else got but we've been petitioning for for months exclusive to a bundle which actually costs more than the standard XL? Because forgive me if it comes off as ungrateful, but that seems like kind of a dick move to me.

I don't freaking care. I just bought an american New 3DS. I don't care how it happened or what the justification is or what—it is now freaking mine at long last.
I've spent MONTHS buying flashcarts and sending 3DS's off to be hardmodded and reading through forum threads trying to region change small 3DS's from other regions... that's all DONE NOW.
