Overall Results:

June game sales are up 7% year over year.

Console and Handheld game sales were up 1% year over year.

Physical and Steam PC software sales (for AAA games from participating publishers) were up 2% year over year.

Software:

June 2017:

  5. Arms* - 256,000 physically plus digitally
  6. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild* - 145,000 physically plus digitally (keep in mind the chart is by revenue, and that the rankings exclude digital so presumably Mario Kart at 180K was on sale somewhere or had major digital sales)
  7. Mario Kart 8* - 180,000 physically plus digitally
  8. Overwatch**
  9. NBA 2K17
  10. Horizon Zero Dawn
  11. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands
  12. Call of Duty: Black Ops III
  13. MLB 17: The Show
  14. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege
  15. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

Notes:
- ”Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy had a strong debut, reaching number 4 on the month's top-seller chart despite having only two days in market," said Piscatella. ”Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy is the first Crash Bandicoot franchise game to debut in the top 5 since Crash Bandicoot: Warped, which launched on the Sony PlayStation in November 1998."
- The other exclusive was Arms for the Switch. What's especially impressive here is that it sold that well without including any digital sales. Nintendo separately confirmed that its wacky fighter surpassed 256,000 copies sold physically and digitally in June. Mario Kart 8: Deluxe and Zelda: Breath of the Wild sold 180,000 and 145,000 during that same period, respectively.
- "It's worth noting that Prey, which debuted in May, has completely fallen off the sales charts. That's not just the overall sales chart, it didn't even crack the top 10 on Xbox One- or PS4-only lists, which you can see below."

Hardware:

PS4: #1

Notes:
- The PlayStation 4 was June's best-selling hardware platform, driven by the Slim PlayStation 4 system in Gold with 1TB HDD," said Piscatella. ”It was the best performing June for PlayStation 4 unit sales to date."
- ”Year to date, hardware spending has grown 19 percent versus 2016 to $1.4 billion," said Piscatella. ”The Nintendo Switch has been the catalyst for year-to-date growth. But portable hardware spending continues to decline. Year-to-date, spending on portable hardware has fallen 40 percent."

Now what's the next step in your master plan?
When was the last time we had 3 fighting games in the top ten?

Also way to go Crash./

It has the individual charts too.

There's Ever Oasis for anyone who cares:

3DS and Vita

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadow of Valentia*
Pokemon Sun*
Pokemon Moon*
Ever Oasis*
Super Mario Maker*
Super Smash Bros.
Mario Kart 7*
Mario Sports Superstars
Poochy and Yoshi’s Wooly World
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D

Crash did great especially since this is based on Revenue. so Crash being in top 5 is even more impressive. PS4 continues to be a beast. Also nice to see fighting games do so well.

Gold is popular it seems!

Great month overall. Glad to see Crash doing really well, especially since it was only $40. Nice to see Horizon in the top 10 too

Zelda doing damn fine i guess Mario Odyssey might take it's place tho when that's out, but still damn fine being second of 2017 best sales.

Hasn't Minecraft been unusually low in the charts lately? I was expecting bumps in the past couple of months because of the switch version and the Better Together update, but it seems to have not moved the needle on it. Has Minecraft finally slowed down?
