The videogame industry and everyone is winning...just some winning more then others! Good positive news for everyone.

Nintendo need to sort out the switch shortages. If theyre still competing with Apple for supply, they will be even worse off around September when the new iPhone goes into full scale production.

Also sad to see USF2 selling more than actual good games.

It's already in full production... The demand is higher now because Apple needs the volume for the launch, it will stabilize over time.

Kinda cool to see a VR title in the Top 20, though I guess it's hard to say how much Farpoint actually sold.

PS4 outsold Switch? Looks like the Switch being hard to find really is due to stock issues, and not just really high popularity.

The reason there are shortage is BECAUSE iPhone 8 is in full production.

These things have to be made months in advance

finally nirolak jeez we were waiting all day!
Injustice with a monster opening,
And Mario was the number 1 selling individual sku, so assuming a 60/40 split injustice MK8D must have sold upwards to 600k
Supply constrained Switch sales
Ubi still doing it big with For Honor and Ghost
Edit: didn't see nirolaks note however I still agree with my analysis
Edit2: Corrected

It makes me so happy to see prey so high on the list..I was worried it bombed. I'm enjoying it a lot and it really has a lot of meat to it and exploration.

Arkane does such good single player games.

Injustice with a monster opening, it must have cleared a million easy with it out selling FFXV which already sold enough units in December to make it onto the top 10 revenue for the year! think about that!

I thought it was still coming out on Tuesday or Thursday. My bad.

Demand is outpacing supply, and the supply isn't that low (for a month of may, which is typically a slow month).

That's the definition of a product with high popularity.

I'm very surprised that Prey charted, yet I'm also very happy. I want to see immersive sims flourish, and I also just love Arkane.

Even a revenue based chart can't keep Fire Emblem from doing good. Really curious as to how that did compared to Awakening and Fates. Definitely lower than Fates, but maybe it held up better compared to Japan.

Even if it was guaranteed a spot, I can't help but smile at Disgaea of all things making a top 10 list in NPD. Hopefully it did well. Hard to judge it and Street Fighter's performance.

That doesn't make any sense.

Switch is hard to find because stock is not enough, more popular than expected.

This makes 0 sense.

The question is, how is the total stock they have for the US less than the amount of PS4s sold in April? Sounds like stock issues because I feel like there should be way more stock for a console that just launched

I think he's trying to say is that the stock situation is so dismal that you can't tell yet if it's really going to take off. I mean it's pretty pathetic that the PS4 can outsell it on a normal month while being sold out

GTA V, man...

Also cool to see combined console sales are higher than the last gen at the respective time. This gen has been great so far.

So glad to hear that PS4/XB1 is doing better than PS3/360 by a solid 29%.

Thats awesome to hear. Add switch to that and we should have a very healthy generation, for hardware sales atleast.
