Climate change is goddam hoax. It’s simple a stratagem for socialism/fascism. Absolute government control and regulation of every aspect of our lives. It validates their control, don’t do x or don’t do y because it’s affecting the climate. They should FOH.

The hard evidence is all around us that it is a hoax. No politician or 1 percenter live their lives like they believe in climate change.
For the mere fact that NOT ONE bank in the fuckin world has ever put “climate change” provision/clause in any contract/loan for a business or mortgage, etc. tells it all. Why are they giving out 40 year mortgages if the world will end in 12 years. Because they know climate change is garbage.

The vast majority of the ACTUAL evidence disagrees with your conspiracy theory. There is science that backs up climate change. Not just uneducated assumptions based on the random things that politicians do.

Majority?
Lol. There’s no democracy in science. Fact is fact, hence “scientific consensus” in NOT fact.
Majority also once believed that the earth was flat.

And the facts and evidence that debunk your conspiracy theory are readily available with a simple Google search. But I am pretty sure you knew that already which means you consider the scientific evidence to be false. And that's not really something someone can argue with. If one side is completely dismissing scientific evidence then there is not much discussion to be had in my opinion. Not a productive one at any rate.

Lucky for the rest of the world though climate change has become a widely accepted fact and has been pushing political agendas and decisions across the world for years already. Decisions that have spurred job creation, innovation, and economic growth. And that's not even mentioning the environmental benefits that have already come about or will come about as a result of such decisions. In fact several countries have already had significant changes come about by switching to greener alternative energy sources.

I suppose only way to convince conspiracy theorist is to provide proper education and information regarding climate change and it's effects going forward as well as allowing the obvious environmental benefits to speak themselves as time goes on.

There are studies and institutions that dispute man-made climate change. Hence it is NOT a FACT. Why is this so difficult to grasp.

Genuine question, do you know the meaning of FACT?

Anyway, you’re too far gone. You ingest everything your leftists overlords tell you. You’re well trained.

The idea of trying to use current real estate choices to show someone doesn't believe in climate change is desperate at best and ignorant at worst. We are talking about something that is going to take decades to happen in earnest. Even longer for something like geographical location to be a life or death decision. Where Obama and his family lives for the next few years means less than nothing. To pretend otherwise is just a partisan attempt to go after him and his political beliefs.

Which is nothing new obviously. Right wingers have been doing that to the Obama's for years, but to use something like this to go after something as basic as climate change? That just tells me that the Right is apparently running dangerously low on political ammunition when it comes to Obama at the moment.

Obama said he likes his office warm, Al Gore lives in a huge mansion and people like Leonardo DiCaprio take huge yachts to soccer games. Why should any of us have to cut back when they're the biggest culprits?

It matters.

Decades? I thought you leftists were spewing 12 years?

Also, saying that actions don't matter is laughable. Your side is constantly bitching about the economic choices people make. From the food they eat to the car they drive to how they build a house. All of that is fair game...but real estate isn't. Oh no how dare people note the hypocrisy then

Fuck off NI 😂

don't worry guys, the same companies and scientists that let the world get fucked "to the point of apocalypse" are the same people that will fix everything, magically stopping drought, starvation, heat waves, etc. we just have to trust in politicians and corporations working together to do the right thing! /s

Climate change is undeniably real, for the climate has been changing for over a billion years.

What's a load of bollox is the same hoax they pushed on us during the 70's; that man is making such a catastrophic difference to the climate that we will all die in 10, 20, 50 years...

It's simply not true. Even IF it is true, nothing will be done about it because the global economy relies on constant growth. If we impacted that growth through Green incentives and taxes, then we will see more humans die from poverty, famine and war than we would by the hands of mother nature.

Sad but true.

Not one of these doomsday soothsayers actually seems to practice what they preach. AOC seen on camera using a bunch of plastic bags rather than a reusable bag. Bernie Sanders has multiple homes and the means to take them off the grid using solar panels but they aren't. The Obamas buying up high carbon footprint coastal properties. All these frauds use private aircraft regularly which contributes a larger carbon footprint in a few days than the average American they are lecturing does in a year. Definitely not the actions of people who genuinely believe in an existential crisis.
When confronted with their hypocrisy they always give out shit answers like "I am not going to walk to California" rather than take commercial flights like the rest of the planet. Walking or private air travel are the only options for the people who want to be in charge of how you live your life.
To the brainlet above there is a big difference between believing that humans are affecting the climate of the planet and people should try and be mindful of that and 12 year doomsday scenarios that involve a takeover of the means of energy production that doesn't include nuclear or zero carbon emissions natural gas plants. Solar and wind on a scale large enough to supply the entire US is laughable at current technology. The amount of land needed to house a combination of wind turbines and solar panels is as large as Texas at least. The amount of mined material to make the turbines, solar panels and batteries required to support the entire system is staggering.

If there was really global warming that was going to eat at the coast, they wouldn’t be investing in beachfront property for hotels or anything for that matter

She explicitly says the world is going to end in 12 years in this video. I can't find the whole thing atm. She is basically Jim Halpert gaslighting people. She does this all the time. Remember when the evil GOP was responsible for lying about the FAQ her team released with the GND? The FAQ they deleted from the website but was visible on any sort of Internet cache site.

Doesn't matter what you or anyone says or shows to them, they will never believe that climate change is real. There are no data, graphs, published papers, or general consensus within the scientific community that would ever change their minds. They will go through mental gymnastics to try to claim it is a hoax - just as the far left does by trying to prove with anything related to intersectionality, privilege or "toxic masculinity" is real.

You are literally just banging your head against a brick wall.

Politicians do and say whatever they can to gain a support base. Those short term goals are so supporters put pressure on trying to push more democrat-led changes and control of the gov't. Climate Change is real, but it certainly isn't going to "end the world" in 12 years and, as much as I detest AOC, I have to agree with her on the last point. You have to be braindead to think it actually would.

You just called almost every member of the Democratic party braindead. Politicians were falling over each other saying the world will end in 12 years all the time with Beta O'Rourke I think going as low as 8 years or some shit. I saw people with posters saying that we have 12 years, people all over the internet were echoing her sentiment all the time. In a weak attempt to stick it to the Orange Man they are willing to say anything or even going so far as to indoctrinate kids and send them to DC to bully members of congress to sign the Green New Deal.

Dummies, It’s a scam. It’s the oldest scam in the book!! When you use the environment as an excuse to transform society. “To save the planet, ‘THIS’ has to happen!”

“Everybody! Warning!”

Pretty much all those researches are heavily sponsored for gains or manipulated to show results. The whole original base where this global warming stuff came out of is full of holes and heavily sponsored.

The only people keeping this shit alive are country's that want west to tank hard because they themselves don't give a single fuck, or people that are heavily invested into it money wise.

If the earth however heats up so be it, we will adapt like we always did the same if it gets colder etc.

Until we actually start targeting the biggest contributors to worldwide pollution and carbon emissions which are:

China

And

India

Everything else is just bullshit. All these Whole Foods shopping and yoga pants wearing and Tesla driving assholes can fuck off.
Yup
the USA already leads in reducing CO2 emissions. So people need to stop yelling at us. Go to another country, climb onto your pedestal and yell at them.

Besides, the US makes up only 5% of the population- I’d hate to say it, but, we aren’t gonna make much of a difference. Go talk to China and India when ya get a chance

Nobody is giving up their phones. Their fast food. Their Amazon shipments. Their kitchen doo-dads.

Living off the main consumerist grid is hard, and looks nothing like liberalism. You wear the same clothes every day. Take showers ever other day, if that. Don't use electronics. Don't use deodorant. Don't buy anything corporate. Buy food from a local coop and farmer's markets. Walk there to get it. Own one pair of pants. One pair of boots. Get anything you do have from freeboxes.

Getting rid of your footprint is hard fucking work, and i guarantee anyone complaining about it on Twitter [or Neogaf] is not putting in even a tenth of the necessary life changing required to be serious.

And the fact is, that's okay. We have 8 billion people on the planet. The .01 percent of people capable of making these changes won't change anything. Hell, the entirety of the US going gutterpunk tomorrow and eating from dumpsters won't change anything.

We will solve this through technology or not at all. That's the sad truth of it. If you don't believe me, look behind your local convenience store and lay witness to the sheer amount of trash they produce everyday. Look into the energy required to ship your 'recycling' halfway around the world only to be tossed in a pit or the ocean.

Anyone who wants to empower government to 'solve' it via shitty regulations written by the industries themselves cracks me up. Yup, keep telling me about your moral highground position on straws from behind your new iphone while you drink starbucks made from imported beans from disposable cups.

Politicians are stupid. They don't understand science and will say whatever they can to gain support. If the right says [x], the left will say [y]. If the right [c] does , the left will do [a]. This is the truth of it and your blind tribalism is so transparent that I don't even know why you bother. It has nothing to do with Trump and never has. This has been an ongoing thing since our nation was founded and will continue to do so until our nation is gone.

Just look at O oagboghi2 's post. Doing the exact same thing - echoing the sentiment of the right without any critical thought or research. Done only to "stick it to the libs!" The hypocrisy is astounding.

So any criticism is just sticking it to liberals because it’s what they are pushing? Well that certainly works out to where you can’t criticize liberal policies. So liberal leaning people understand science, whereas conservatives are just bashing science because the fancy liberals with their book learning are all for it. This is a ridiculous defense/argument. Your blind tribalism is highly transparent.

You mean what liberals do to Trump every other week?
"wahh Trump is golfing in Florida wahhh"

"Well actualy Obama has solar on his roof so he is saving the planet, it doesn't matter what he does or where he lives and goes!!!!"

Does the house even have a landing strip for his private jet? I mean come on?

“Do as I say, not as I do”
And here is the most succinct summary of modern Liberalism.

The ruling class lives by a different set of rules than they expect the pissants like you and I to be beholden to. This isn’t just an OBAMA thing, it’s Sanders and Pelosi, and Schemer, and all of them. So convinced are they of the stupidity of voters that they don’t even really try to hide it anymore.

And next you’ll say “...the Right doesnt care about the planet!”

Saying shit like, “Republicans don't care about the environment” is the Democrats repeating the same mistakes of 2015/2016. The Dems are like a football team down by 70 points who thinks they are winning because their cheerleaders are cheering louder.

Climate change is probably real and a scientific solution is likely the only way to go because you are fighting against human nature on a global scale in that its human nature to wait until it is already too late and only than react out of necessity.
Inject a trillion of serious money into research and a scientific solution with a time line and oversight, i feel anything else is just theater and childrens games to further some peoples personal goals of power/money.

Didn't say that, so don't try to push childish strawmen arguments. Re-read what I wrote. I stated that most politicians don't give a shit about climate change or science in general - they say what they say to gain voters and power. AOC, Bernie Sanders, etc - none of them understand the the science, hell, the majority of the left and right don't. Scientific literacy is something that simply isn't taught.

I was pointing out the hypocrisy of oaghboghi2's statement of "critical analysis" and blind tribalism as any done on the actual scientific literature would show that climate change is real, though highly politicized on the left and exaggerated for reasons I have stated prior. I have literally been shitting on both the right and left's actions this entire time. What blind tribalism am I pushing? Get your head out of your ass.

Oh there are hypocrites on the right, no doubt. But they just don’t go around like cunts wagging their finger at everyone for killing the planet before they fart off in their private jets to go have lunch across the globe somewhere.

Hypocrisy is bad. Hypocrisy and lecturing everyone is straight up cunty.

If they do not lecture you before flying in a jet, then they are not hypocrites. The hypocrisy of the right is much more subtle. Their condemnation of Iranian sponsored terrorism, while turning a blind eye and deflecting away criticism of Saudi sponsored terrorism comes to mind.

Flying in a jet before or after makes no difference, lecturing everyone about how awful they are for not taking climate change seriously when they fly out to rallies in private jets is the height of hypocrisy. Sanders just got nailed in the face with this by a college student at a rally, the kid said, “Why don’t you practice what you preach?” And Sanders said, “I’m not going to walk to California.” That’s pretty cunty when you consider all the lecturing and posturing the Left does about fossil fuels and established methods of travel.

I agree on Middle East policy, I think we should get the fuck out of there period. As for Saudis, well you’re probably right. However, I do know one president that ignored a certain Saudi when the Sudanese government offered him up to us on a platter and that Saudi went on to plan an attack that killed 3300 people or so. Is that the one you mean? ;)
