Good message but it did look like somebody shot him with a tranquilizer dart for a bit there. He does look tired, but I'm willing to cut the guy some slack - him and his campaign have been kicking all kinds of ass across the country.

McCain's speech was comforting because he made clear he plans to run on the same platform that failed Clinton. Experience vs Change

Granted, McCain actually has experience unlike Hillary

I'm not joking. Some of the statements you have made require an almost total lack of understanding of our political system, and even basic American history.

Wow... I hate to result to insults, but you are a real asshole.

How do you go about making an argument that nothing will change no matter who gets elected, when your only evidence is your own personal experience? It's not just the Iraq war, which has ruined the lives of many Americans and millions of Iraqis (not to mention bankrupting the country), but there are hundreds of other issues that affect the lives of the average American that would almost certainly not have happened if Bush was never elected.

Of course a single president cannot change everything, but they can do quite a bit. The last 8 years would have been very different if Bush was not elected and the same can be said about virtually every presidential term.

and again, more insults.

But to address that bolded part.

What?

NONE of this fucking rigged election has been a cakewalk. She has EARNED every vote. Unlike Barack Obama.

56/43 for Obama is great for Hillary. She didn’t expect to win. She’s doing very well considering and if it ends up being even higher…well it looks like he didn’t sweep the state like all the predictions said he would.

Go Hillary!

The DNC’s logic is that if you allow people to vote in the Democratic primary they will stay with the party in the GE. Well, this is nonsense, of course with Republican voters openly admitting they are voting for Obama to keep Hillary out and then they will switch their vote to McCain in the fall.

Democrats are not known for being very smart while the Republicans are ruthless.

this type of polling really kills me, what is in the HEADS of thse people??? Change???????? What Change???? F**ks sake, the world is screwed up and they want to put some un-tested freakshow who cant even press the right button most of the time??? Hillary would be a change, and EXPERIENCED CHANGE!!

lolololololol

I got an e-mail from the local Obama group. Ohio plans to canvas really heavily the weekend before March 4. Their goal is to knock on 1 million doors across the state in those two days, with the help of thousands of volunteers from multiple states. Ohio is in good hands, I think.

I understand the political system just fine. Nothing I've even said tonight really addresses the mechanics of our political system OR of American History, rather voter attitudes and tendencies.

The fact that you read that into it tells me you are spoiling for a fight that's not here.

My only offense tonight was to have appeared in this thread and NOT proclaim how awesome Obama is. I wasn't aware this was an Support Barack! only thread. I thought there was already one of those.

Yeah, this war is expensive. But do you honestly think the quality of life is going to be any different? The Reagan and Bush I adminstrations ran up a huge, huge debt as well on defense spending and tax cuts, if i remember correctly. I also don't recall any breadlines or 20% unemployment or anything like that.

Look, the prevailing attitude here is that

1. America is a shithole

2. Barack will save us.

When 1. is not true. And its not just here: earlier on CNN they had a poll of people in Wisconsin, democrats, of whom 90% think the economy is in the shitter. 60% of Republicans. Things aren't awesome right now, but we are a long way from the doom and gloom Joe Sixpack thinks is going on right now.
We're entering a recession, that is a fact. Are you really going to bury your head in the sand.

And i have to ask, do your friends agree with your view that the war is largely unimportant?

Whoever is running his campaign has done an outstanding job on the logistics of everything.

Hilary is sounding desperate and looks like she's about to cry.

Obama is regurgitating the same hopechangewedontneedexperiencewhenwegotyeswecanletsrollbackthetaxcutstupidrichpeople speech over again.

McCain is so old.

So...like I had no idea.

Barack must be proud.

See, if that had been about Hillary, or McCain, itd be like dropping a bucket of blood into a shark tank here.

But instead, we get "should he be responsible for...." cries.

Which are totally justified, btw. You can't hold the man responsible for what others around him are doing. But something tells me had this particular shoe been on the other foot, the current crowd would not be so understanding.

-Foreign countries lowered opinion of the US
-US dismissal of attorneys

I thought NPD meltdowns were epic, but hillaryis44 takes the cake. I'm not sure this isn't some parody site funded by Obama. Can people really be that delusional?

You stated that it doesn't matter who becomes President, and that we are doomed to stagnation regardless. This is proven wrong throughout our country's history, most recently in the past eight horrid years.

I would feel very comfortable calling that a lack of knowledge on both fronts.

Remember where I said that it was just anecdotal evidence from a singular partisan poster disclaimer?

I see you conveniently missed that part.

LOL at democratic vs Republican numbers

Republican voters McCain + Huckabee + Paul = 210,000

Democrats who voted ONLY for Obama = 308,000

So Hawaii closes in 2 hours. Any rumbling about it?

Clinton breaks in the air at 1230 to claim victory in Hawaii.

Triumph: While that may be true, North Carolina takes their "First in Flight" bit really seriously:p Of course, it won't get to us anyways.

You're probably right. But the other side's failings is not support for your own arguments

What?

Patriot Act, Homeland Security Act, No Child Left Behind Act, Bankruptcy Reform Act, etc... Not even mentioning all of the vetoes he has done (more than any other President?).

There are so many other acts and issues that would almost certainly not have happened under a different president. Seriously, do some research.

There is no way an argument can effectively take place under these situations. Hasn't been for a long time. It is what it is. Things will settle down slightly after the election.
