The PS Premire was divided into two main parts, the second was for the game videos and demos. Then both halves of the event passed and still no Kojima. Suddenly the lights go back off and the Konami logo appears ont he screen. Then Kojima appeared with a smile on his face and a SixAxis in hand. Everyone knew that he was gonna show the MGS4 demo for the first time. There was excitement in the crowd.

The demo starts with Snake in a building, in ruins, with view from the war torn city outside. Then he demonstrates Snakes "Solid Eye" vision system (the eyepatch), it allows Snake to see, in great detail, the 1st person view of his surroundings. He zooms into far away places outside, wich can be seen almost perfectly with no pixels. Snake then jumps to the 1st floor wich is lightly patrolled by guards. The guards follow a certain path, back and forth. Kojima uses the "Octocamo" to blend into the wall and sneak past the guards. Snake advances outside to the battlefield.

This is the main middle eastern setting in the game. There is sand being lifted of the floor by the wind, and High detail in the buildings in the distance. You can hear bullets in the distance and explosions all around Snake. The high detail of the PS3 is being well used in the game. There is also alot of reality of war. The buildings are almost detroyed and some dont have roofs. Kojima uses "Solid eye" to look deep into cracks in the walls of builddings. The view is amazing. Kojima says that he is vulnerable to attacks from the exterior (?) and quotes the famous: "No place to hide".

He crouched under a car and took out a sniper int he distance. Then he went under an abandoned tank to shield himself from an air strike from local helicopters that were patroling the area.

The action continues after the air strike. Snake throws a granade at a few guards posted at the other side of the street. Then some friendly soldiers walk over to Snake to thank him for getting rid of the oposing forces.

Kojima switches to 1st person view and walks. He says its optional to keep 1st person view on the whole game if you wish. You can see the high detail in Snakes gun. He tilts the gun side to side using the SixAxis wireless motion capibilities. (just like in the TGS06 or E306 trailer) And he showed the over the shoulder cammera. (like Resident Evil 4)

Kojima said not to panic that Metal Gear is still Metal Gear, that it is not another boring shooter game, but that the stealth element is still there. (And the original cammera view)

The Shadow Moses hero advances slowly to sneak up behind a guard and choke him using his handgun. The original halo of stars above the persons head indicating unconsiousness apears above the guards head. Snake preforms all sorts of old tricks like dragging the victim and taking items fromt he victim too. And also holding up a guard and pointing at its head so he gives Snake his stuff. But when holding up a guard Kojima also takes the guards gun(a new thing). And when you hold up a guard and they surrender thair items they still do some hillarious stuff (They dont say what). Then Kojima taps a button a few times and Snake starts to do some new CQC moves. The tapping on the wall to make distracting noises is also back.

The HUD display and weapon switching hasnt changd much either. And Kojima did not show much of Snake's new weapons. But he did show some time of rocket launcher, grenades, and a machine gun (idiot did not say what type). And one of my favourites is the magazine, which is back. And Kojima showed a very curios action in which Snake gets on the floor and obvserves the magazine. The content: Cool some new girls in underwear and bathing suits but in awsome PS3 graphics.

Snake then uses and in game screen to use the "octocamo" again and blend into tiles, dirt, sand, and alot of surfaces. And Snake could "play dead" using the "Octocamo". To take the camo of instead of going into the menu you just chake the SixAxis.

Play in first person view (with gun model) and RE4 style if you choose? Kick ass! While a pain to read, the whole thing sounds amazing.

Can't wait to see how the close quarter combat stuff looks like in 4.

The game looks oh so stunning, what people took as CGi artwork revealed itself to be in game model. MGS4 luv forever, it will be one of the best game ever created. All the info is dropping bombs on my head.

Very nice. I replayed MGS2 quite a few times, but it is looking like MGS4 is gonna be hard to beat in the re-playability department.
