Official Nintendo Oct 2 JP Conference (S&P2 on Wii, Punch Out Wii, DSi announced)

I guess we can have this one, I'll be heading to sleep shortly but duckroll or another mod can edit the relevant information into this topic when it happens if they get to it before I wake up.

Have fun... exploding in anticipation.

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage
Let the disappointment begin!

Seriously, though--Punch-out! with balance board support and online play would rock.

great, so is the forum going to crash while you bastards refresh every 2 seconds?
Pretty much. You might as well start doing the same right now just to warm up (when in Rome and all that you know).
Locking and stickying this until there are actual announcements to cheer or cry over.

I know you all can be good and patient little boys and girl. See you then.

He's a pretty swell guy in my books anyway.
To recap, here's what happened last year:
- Fire Emblem DS at long last (When can I play it NoA?!!! >_<)
- Super Mario Baseball announced
- WiiWare details (launch March in Japan), games (SSR, Dr. Mario, Pokemon and FF:CC shown again)
- Nintendo Channel (DS demo download station brought home)
- Mario Kart to have bikes, comes with useless Wheel
- Sonic in Smash Bros., Japanese date announced
- Monster Hunter 3 (tri)

After conference:
- Lots of images, some more new games (Soma Bringer, etc.)
- Montage:
I don't know about anyone else, but I for one am holding out for:

An internally-developed Star Fox Wii with no on-foot missions, F-Zero WX with a track builder, a new 2D Metroid on DS, Pokemon Trading Card Game DS, Adventures of Lolo on WiiWare or DS with a level creator, a WiiWare Mario in the style of SMB3, Four Swords Adventures with online co-op, Baten Kaitos DS, Pokemon Gold/Silver remakes, a DS compilation of Mother 1-3, Kirby Wii with newly-revealed online co-op, Punch-Out with Wii MotionPlus, Star Tropics 3 on DS, Super Princess Peach 2 featuring playable Daisy, WiiWare Kid Icarus still playing on a 2D plane, and a modern remake of Link's Awakening.

And also the announcement of a new yearly-release series of $30 single-player cel-shaded Wii co-op adventures using the Kirby Super Star Ultra engine and implementing various third-party characters along with Nintendo stars.

Clearly these things are coming!
