There are some weird things on this forum. Seriously a whole topic about a logo?
I am impressed too. At this point it is really hard for Sony to fuck this Up. The culture ist too strong. The love is too hot - it can not fail. I will be buying a PS5 for sure, because I do Love the Franchises surrrounding the console, however, I can also confirm that I am currently having a blast with my Switch that I recently bought and I really Like the Witcher 3 on PC (20 hours in).

Never judge a book by it's cover, Content will decide my favorite also in the next Generation of console and let's hope WE really get Something good for our money

nothing will ever beat the PS2 logo for me. i know a lot of people are hating or laughing because it's basically just the same as PS4...

but that's the whole entire point.

why change it if it's not broken? sony are keeping it simple. there was no doubt that it'd be called the PS5 and here is the logo. It's just the same. Nothing needs to change.

Look at the state Microsoft are in with their branding. They can't decide on what to stick with. Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox Series X. they are all over the place and it's causing confusion.

Logo is fine and resembles current state of PlayStation. Don't confuse people and don't try to reinvent the wheel.

It's a clear sign of hardware NOT yet being final at this point (which is no wonder, given that 7nm EUV is to ramp up some time Q2-ish next year).
Neither Sony nor Microsoft want to lose power game and, on the other hand, they don't want super expensive supersize chips with expensive cooling solutions either.

For a product being released this coming holiday season, hardware should be very close to final by now.

Too ma
The Playstation logos just get more and more boring. The fact that they have chosen such a safe and uninspiring logo this time round gives me a bad feeling about what the overall design of the console is going to be. We're going to get another boring black box rather than the awesome dev kit design, aren't we?

This has been the only truly great Playstation logo:

Too many colors might offend or be representative of a certain group. Companies deadass think about this shit before committing to logos 😂😂😂

Thts a dope logo though.

I'm pretty sure Sony has doubled amount of RAM on PS4 in Jan or Feb of the year it was released.

Daym ...

Xbox Series X full console reveal 988,000 likes

PS5 logo reveal 2,700,000 likes

Some people on this websites gona get triggered real bad
Lol

Such a disparity in Brand popularity.

No matter How hard Phil try to draw attentions for his New toy, PlayStation is Just massive and Sony can get the general audiance interest with Very minor effort.

Its almost like Sony can make the internet world stop with an exclusive event for a PS5 Reveal. No extra teraflops (If this ever exist) can overshadow PS power as a Brand.
