I'll probably go that route (I got a $300 award at work for being a good employee or something, which makes it easy to justify...).

op_ivy said:yeah, the price definitely has "put me off" of the system for the time being.
i would have buckled and bought one at launch for sure before, now i'll wait till the price drops or when more games i want become available (whichever comes first). i'm quite dissapointed with the 250 price point and bundled "extras"
chespace said:But you would have bought one if they had a $200 core version? Just curious...
belgurdo said:$250 is a wonderful price for what you're getting. I have no clue as to why people are complaining (outside of the usual "it's GAF" line of reasoning)

DJ Brannon said:For me it has never been about the price, but quality, and I don't trust Sony with quality right out the door, especiallly for a handheld. Why would I ever pine and pray and beg to hope to be one of the first ones with a first-run Sony product? My waiting game has not changed. The good thing is that when quality goes up, price goes down and the increased efficiency in production means I can walk in a store and just buy one like I'd buy a regular game, so either way I win big.
Good to see so many willing testers though *thumbs up*

Some of you will whait for a cut around turkey day but will eventually end up paying up the ass at ebay cuz you where to damn stubborn to just give sony your money like you should have right away.

I can all but guarantee this exact scenario.soundwave05 said:If the Revolution launch period (that means the full first six months) has a drought like this, Nintendo can forget about it right now.
My 1st generation Playstation is still alive and well with absolutely no problems what so ever (all later version have various overheating/skipping/lockup problems), my PSOne rocks the house with it's kickass Sony screen, and my 1st generation PS2 is still trucking along at a steady pace. Also, I don't know anyone personally that has had any problems with any Sony launch console. So yeah, you may be rightMrbob said:I still chuckle at all the complaints about not buying shoddy Sony hardware at launch. If anything, the hardware is going to be the sturdiest at launch before deals are made to get lower priced components for the interior.
