Why? It makes a lot of sense, Okami didn't sell well on the PS2 and would never have been ported on the PS3 / 360 because of the cost. Wii allows the devs to make a quick port-job and cash in on it.

Why would anyone be bitter that a critically acclaimed game that didn't garner good sales gets a second chance on a console that is starving for meaty games?

The controls better be good for it. I gave up on the PS2 version because it was taking forever for the game to become interesting. That, and the noise they use for voices is annoying as fuck.
