Pretty sure that if a show doesn't get canceled mid-season, it'll get a BR release. And even then, it'll get a BR if the fanbase is strong enough.

Community is a big example. A show like Once Upon a Time or Fringe has a loyal enough fanbase that also will pay for the higher dollar versions. A sitcom usually falls through the cracks. Castle's DVD sales probably have not been enough to test the blu ray waters. Who knows.

At least you can get them in HD off of iTunes or wherever.

Possibly the biggest example of a "legacy" series not on BR is The West Wing.

I post this with full knowledge that I own the entire series on Amazon HD.

Interestingly enough, I did see both Once Upon A Time and Castle season 4 at my local Future Shop both only in DVD formats... I bought Castle
