This game has caught my eye a few times. Really temped to pick it up. Just a couple of questions. Does it run at 60 FPS? Also, about how long is it?

Thanks!

It definitely feels 60fps, I didn't notice any slowdown but I only played a good 30 min or so. Length I'll say was about 8 full inches during this time.

I like how the game starts
exactly where the previous ended, music and all
. A few chapters in and I'm liking it so far.

Anyone tried to open the (digital) manual? My PS4 starts chugging afterwards, even outside the browser, until I reboot it. I guess the images are too large or something.

Can't seem to find it via Google, anyone got a pic?

Not sure if this is considered NSFW around these parts, so I'll err on the side of caution and just link it http://i.imgur.com/Xi70w4l.jpg (also, what are you doing in an Oncechanbara thread at work?)

But also, not sure if this was mentioned, I know people like reversible covers, so this should be some good news for those who are interested:

Yes, they are. But I tend to not buy costumes or any DLC for that matter that are simply cosmetic, i.e. anything that doesn't actually affect the gameplay. I don't mind costumes that're free, part of a bundle with something else, or a pre-order/first print bonus, though, hence why I'd rather get it as a freebie for buying the game....despite not having a PS4 right now.

Edit: Oh right, there's also the CD & artbook. Those are nice bonuses as well.

Picture is pretty huge so I'll just link it.

That disc...I just can't not support this.

My Review for ACG

Fantastic. Very bland landscapes but everything else nailed it, combat, animations, atmosphere, and music and voice.

Thanks for the review, you sound pumped about the game. I tried Onechanbara Vortex on Xbox 360, and found it to be a surprisingly fun game, so I'm definitely interested in this. Checking out the reviews on metacritic, the reviewers sound so opposite of your impressions, and the gameplay footage you showed.

I suppose it make sense that the general population might care more about visuals, story and whatnot, or just not click with a B-movie style, but I am excited to try this out. I love a good B-movie type game, if the combat is as good as you say it is, this could fill a nice void in my new releases list.

Wow lol I love the disc and the fact that you have to put your finger...inside her to get it out. I like stupid details like this.

Gives all the fucks
Oh god, dat disc art. They KNEW what they were doing when they made that.

Wait, Senran Kagura Estivul Versus is coming stateside this year!? Did I read this somewhere right!?
Yes, it's coming out this "Winter" so probably Nov. or Dec. SK2 still needs to come out in August or Sept.

Any chance of this getting a PC port? I'd be interested in picking it up but getting tired of picking up niche games only to have a PC port announced soon after

Doubtful. People seem to ask that of XSeed a lot and they always respond "we just localize them."

So if the original devs do a PC port, sure probably, until then, nope.

What I played on Wii was horrible, videos make this look horrible and extremely sexist as well. Weird how this actually gets hyped while the internet shits on Devil's Third. I guess some things you just don't have to understand.

I'll be streaming this in about 20 minutes @ twitch.tv/cerulean_skylark if anyone wants to check it out and ask some Questions while i play. Completely blind run though

I disagree, The game is certainly going for "Sexy" but it's a stretch to substantiate a game starring exclusively women is sexist

This isn't the Wii game.

Also, I genuinely don't feel this game is sexist at all. I mean, think about it: it tells the story of four badass women (who used to be enemies but worked out their differences), led by a female military commander, fighting off hordes of zombies and demons and saving the world in the process. There are almost no men anywhere to be seen in the entire run of this game, and while the characters do wear some pretty skimpy outfits, you definitely get the sense from their personalities that they're in those outfits entirely by choice.

Basically, this is a game about confident, independent women kicking serious ass. Which is something I can definitely get behind.

I got the game today and I was only able to play for two hours before work. It is a really fun game that I can enjoy at my own leisure. I felt really awesome doing combos and switching between characters. All characters have two weapons and a sub weapons. Plus a rage /berserk mode. There is alot of stuff to buy in the menu (moves, rings, clothes etc.)

My current nitpick with the game is the sound effects. The slashes and punches sound okay, but ground pounds and slams need more oomph. It could be deliberate also since the game is non serious. I would say give the game a try it has a nice art book and case. I like Kagura the best out of the four. Also the dub is really good it fits the game!

Yeah the sound design for certain attacks was bad--the big black thorns from the ground punch from that one girl is particularly weak sounding. Also, the grunting when they run...why. So annoying.

Putting together the OT.

Not only that but the Wii version was the best version of Onechanbara released IMO. You'd have to be a special kind of bad player not to enjoy that one. In that game if you reached a high enough level you could vaporize loads of zombies just by looking at them. Pure power creep. :)

Very pumped man. Sincerely this is a quality combat title IMHO and luckily it looks like a couple other people here.

I can't stress enough that this game is not any of its predecessors. ;) You will have a much better time here, I believe.

The 2 best girls in the series. Wonder if Saya is still insanely broken with her jump triangle? I think attack. The one where she drops straight down with her chainsaw doing multiple hits. Made the game hilariously easy for standard fights.

Hey, I remember you from the Senran Kagura thread. Thanks for helping to bring a physical copy of the Vita game over here, I picked it up.

I'll probably fold and grab this soon, just hope it's somewhat decent. Thanks for the reply!
