This thing isn't in the app store yet. When can I get it? I'm on 4.3.3 on my iPad 2. Is this gonna cause problems. Telling me that I need 5.0?
Can the new microcontroller be used with ordinary PC games?

They're testing device by device instead of just throwing it to everyone to avoid backlash, give it a week or so.

If you have an HTC Flyer, which comes with the OnLive Player App preinstalled, you may have issues launching games. You might have to root the device and uninstall it the app and reinstall it. Users are having issues with that particular Tablet.
S
You can download the app and sign it. You should then get an email about it being available to you.
I received that email, but Batman doesn't show up under "My Games", and when viewing it on the store it just gives me the option to buy it. Email didn't contain a code to enter or anything.
Am I missing something?
edit: decided to try it again and now the game shows up. Hmm.
Yeah, I think it just takes a while to process all the way through.

These devices use ARMv6 no matter how clever you are, or where you get the APK from, it will NEVER run on these devices.
That's bizarre.
The list below are the Android devices that the OnLive App will NOT work on. These devices use ARMv6 architecture.

I would say the controller for sure. If you are using the controller, you can play this on a normal pc. If we could get a tablet or phone with the controller built on it would be nice. Its odd cause now you are bringing a controller and a screen with you, but anywhere you would actually use this seems you would have access to a real device.
Seriously stay away from OnLive fans forum unless you love prepubescent flame wars. I did a video walk through for the iPad2 version and I spoke with Steve Perlman last night about it.
Check out onliveinformer.com I put a video up as well for it but I will tell you this I p have the new universal controller and it makes the iPad a real portable game system!!! The touch stuff isn't going to thrill you way to many buttons.
Ask any questions you have and I will try to answer them here or on onliveinformer.com
As for the controller yes you can use it on the pc Mac iPad and android tablets. It has a USB dongle.
The iPhone version isn't coming until later iPad only at first. Though droids have a client out now.
On iPad you have bars on top and bottom similar to dvd's though the android versions due to the shape of the screens fill out perfectly.
Hows the controller feel. I might pick it up since need a new one for pc.

I'm really puzzled by the reactions of people here. None of this is new.
It was clear from day one that Onlive would have a player on iOS. They had proof of concept videos running Crysis 1 on iPhones.
They also announced the controllers before the launch of the service.
Now that they've launched and they don't suck (video quality and lag are pretty ok), this is suddenly amazing?
I tried it on my Viewsonic G Tablet (Tegra 2) last night. Touch controls in-game are just shy of functional, but the core streaming works damn well as expected.
Are 3rd party gamepads supported? My tablet has bluetooth and a full usb port.
I think the 360 controller works but I haven't tested it.
Tried it on my HP touchpad running android. Was extremely impressed. Although I'll never use it b/c I have a gaming pc and all systems etc, this technology is the shit.
Why isn't this available in Canada. Jerks.
why waste time with making a controller? just dev the software to recognize the 360 pad.
Because the 360 pad kinda sucks for anything that uses a dpad even a little.
One question, how does the current OnLive controller work with PC games that aren't OnLive, like Skyrim? Does the game recognize it as a 360 controller and give me all the additional UI that comes with it (correct button labels), or is like a regular PC controller and just display all the buttons as 1, 2, 3, etc. and I have to manually set up all the controls?
