Nah, FFXV will not even reach 1 million FW in Japan.

Around 1.4 million combined, as far as i remember.

Atlus should start producing their games with the western market in mind then.
Atlus should start acting like they care about the west enough before evening trying to change their game for the west(which they shouldn't do at all)Atlus should start producing their games with the western market in mind then.
Give me Persona 6 with an older cast of characters in university.
Persona 4 proper of Persona 4 with P4G?
I believe with P4G. I think PersonaCentral/Flux has details somewhere.

I'll take thatHave a bet saying this game's first month sales in Japan will beat Final Fantasy XV. Still confident in that. Just didn't know how to get the data...
I don't think FF's popularity has cooled off that much. Didn't FF12 do like 2MM the first week?Have a bet saying this game's first month sales in Japan will beat Final Fantasy XV.

Persona 4 sold less than 300k copies in Japan? How many did it sell in the rest of the world?

1,764,266 (less than FFX, more than X-2).I don't think FF's popularity has cooled off that much. Didn't FF12 do like 2MM the first week?
Bold guess incoming.. Gravity Rush 2 first week sales will be higher.
Nah, FFXV will not even reach 1 million FW in Japan.
Final Fantasy XII sold more than 1.7 million copies in its first week in Japan.[143] By November 6, 2006—one week after its release—Final Fantasy XII had shipped approximately 1.5 million copies in North America.[144] Final Fantasy XIII became the fastest-selling game in the franchise,[145] and sold one million units on its first day of sale in Japan.
Bold or dumb?
Edit: Or are we comparing multiple regions again against a single one? I don't see the point of doing that.
I'll stick with 'bold', and concede to 'dumb' if the numbers are miles apart.
And no, Japan only.

They are going to be bad. I am really excited for it though.I'll stick with 'bold', and concede to 'dumb' if the numbers are miles apart.

Even a spin-off like the DDS games would be optimistic. SMT is nowhere near as popular as Persona, so prioritizing it by devoting console development resources to it is unlikely (before anyone even mentions #FE, in spite of the turnaround in opinion regarding it on GAF following its Western release, it sold poorly in Japan). It's doubtful that they would've bothered with the SMT IV games if they weren't 3DS titles.Great to hear. Atlus should start pumping out console SMT next.
Digital is nowhere near as popular with Japanese consumers as Americans. That's much too generous. This doesn't include digital right? How big is digital in Japan compared to retail? Could it be up over 400k all in? 500k?

Nope. Gravity Daze 2 will be around 100K first week.Bold guess incoming.. Gravity Rush 2 first week sales will be higher.
Atlus games are never marketed in the West. I don't picture Sony throwing marketing dollars its way, either.Super interested in how this thing does in the west, be interesting if they even attempt to market it come the new year.

"Same 2 gifs"Gaf getting excited over the same 2 gifs being posted for months doesn't mean huge sales. I like the look of the game but it's not going to be a big seller
Which is why the large delay between Japanese and Western release will hurt sales.Atlus games are never marketed in the West. I don't picture Sony throwing marketing dollars its way, either.
FFXIII only become the fastest selling game in franchise because it was the first to have simultaneous release WW... if you align launch for previous games it will be ahead.Do you really think that XV will not gonna make it with a worldwide distribution?
A lot of people made snarky remarks in response to you, but I would say P5 actually exhibits this idea of 'western market', just not in the way posters derided.Atlus should start producing their games with the western market in mind then.

Persona got that Vita stimulus package.
It'll reach at least a million worldwide, 1.5 is my estimate.
