So this thread is dedicated to Waifu and Husbando talk wars? Avoiding like the plague.

Unless you all post the right choices to get max points with each character, then I'll stay. :p

Wait...co-op now means waifus?

Or is there some sort of co-op in this game?

Co-op is what is was called in the JP version. It's called "Confidants" in the western version of the games. Essentually, it's just the new version of "social links" from the previous two games.

I see how having "co-op" in the title of the thread could confuse a lot of people.

Haven't got it the game at the moment but will declare my stance for makoto as best girl. All are decent but one rules above all. Waiting on futaba and haru on proving me wrong because I'm not a fan of them right now. Futaba has potential but haru looks completely hopeless.

Really having a hard time figuring out what "co-op" means in this context...

EDIT: Thanks, Kewl, for the explanation.

I know nothing about this game and I am pre-emptively guessing that Makoto is going to be best girl based on no information. I will revisit this post later once I finish the game.

cooperations (jp) = confidants (en) = social links

my advice for priority besides all party members to rank2/3 for baton touch/follow-up attack:

Sadayo/Temperance max rank so you can do stuff at night after dungeon run.
Toranosuke/Sun rank 2 for $$$$$$. going past rank 2 will overwrite the ability to extort money multiple times for a one time boosted money gain which ends up worse overall, iirc.
Tae for the SP regen accessory
~
Chihaya for extra social link points.
Hifume for reserve member party switching and general usefulness
Caroline and Justine are essential for making higher persona and also making persona over your level, but you can progress this whenever since it doesn't eat up days
yuuki has reserve EXP boost so up to you if you prioritize that at all

everyone else is kinda meh
guns weren't suuuuuper important to me so Iwai wasn't that great (he lets you unlock higher stats and ammo on guns)
soujiro lets you make SP restore items but they take a night to make and i'd argue tae's accessories are better
shinya gives you access to Random Fire (open up an encounter with pre-emptive gun attack for 25%/50% flat damage iirc) and rank 1 is down shot (a lot of ammo for a guarantee knock down). rank 1 is probably worth getting at least for the Sonic Adventure looking bonus monsters
Ichiko's bonuses are related to the alert meter which really isn't a big deal

Good, now all the real Persona fans can talk in here and all the fly by night fakers can stick to their "OTs" and their "meaningful discussions"

Is it possible to max out all confidents like P3/4? And if yes, is it easy or hard to do so?

pretty sure yes, especially if you one-night dungeons, have your stats prepared beforehand, and have the day extending coop.

Can't wait to see what is this "waifu talk" that couldn't be kept in the OT.

People constantly debate which is the correct romance option in Persona games.

For example in Persona 4 there is only one clear choice for companion, Chie, but for some reason a small number of people prefer the more inferior ladies. Those who pick the wrong companion are so embarassed by their poor choice that they have to get on GAF and make up excuses for why their choice is the best. It's thinly veiled and we all know they're wrong.

The Persona Waifu discussion oftentimes can take up hundreds of points, even to the point that it annoys members who are unable to have fun on the internet.

My first impressions of the new attendants are that they are very lame compared to Elizabeth/Theo/Margaret. Will they grow on me?

Some questions that seem appropriate for this thread

1) Does it work like P4 where you can max out a confidant with a girl and then not choose to romance?

2) Are there consequences like in P4G if you choose the dating option for more than one girl?

This must be embarrassing but you misspelled Yukiko.
