This thread is now about this comment.

Two groups know more than they are letting on. Hockey Gaf and the mods. Lets hear it.

This is getting interesting.
Yeah I ain't digging through NHL gafTwo groups know more than they are letting on. Hockey Gaf and the mods. Lets hear it.
I appreciate Mandrake's work, this thread is too cluttered with bullshit to really get my drama fix. Shut the fuck up if you are not contributing, this includes me and this post. Goes back to plotting the finer points of this...

I don't know who this person is but I'm pretty sure that all high-traffic forums have a zero-tolerance policy for alts.
Each accepted member is granted one, and only one, username. If you are caught using multiple usernames, you will be subject to immediate and permanent banning of all accounts involved.
I quickly went to the last page to see if you had posted one of these.
Truly indispensable.
It still blows my mind at the number of people who think this is breaking news. :/ This has been known for years.
No explanation needed other than some personal vendetta from some geek/virigin mod. There are way worse topics where people dont get banned, someone just had it out for Forza. Probably goes back to the World Cup thread.
You guys have known that Manics has had a bunch of alts/joke characters over the years? Because that is what I was implying by my post.
Holy shit @ that Manics post.

Never knew the harry Potter fiction had invisible money-shots.
That's a pretty lame post of "damning evidence" then.
was he banned over that 39 and 19 years old thread?
to be honest if they would un ban him, why would they keep all others banned.
who is he to get an exception?

I don't get it. What am I looking at?
Not a load of shit. He even outlines his beef with Mike and the banning in this "Mod Jizz" thread:

Nobody, that's why bish pretty much made it clear this won't do much to help him.
I like how her legs twitch out.
And yes, I'm assuming it's a "her" because the other one is obviously leaning into her. Teen sex DID happen at Hogwarts.
im not doubting that. i bet when the tri-wizard cup was happening, they were getting it on like rabbits

so why isn't the op banned yet again?
tri-wizard tournament is now my favourite euphemism for a menage a trois
so why isn't the op banned yet again?

NeoGAF Terms of Service, Article 1A:
It's not a hidden rule. It's the very first paragraph of the very first article of the ToS which has been available and sticked for years. Even if this poster had done nothing else, this warrants permanent banning. Of course, he did do something else. Many times over, in fact.
Why would he be banned?
Either blatantly trolling or being a complete tool for starters.
Before this is said and done it will most likely be revealed that he is an alt in one form or another also.
We do not typically discuss moderation in any form (GAF is not moderated by committee) but I want to step forward for a moment to make one particular thing clear.
I was the moderator who banned this user, and I did so having never heard of him before. I do not have any interest in hockey (or almost any sport), so any threads he frequents are not those I frequent. Here is the exact order in which the events occured:
1) This poster (who already has a name that raises hackles, but is not itself worthy of any sort of moderation), made a thread which is already posted here -- he explained how he was dating a 19 year old girl and was thinking of "putting a baby in it" because her family was wealthy and he could presumably leech money from them. It was very inappropriate.
2) I then began searching the poster's history, and saw several equally horrid threads; contradictory tales which indicated he was vastly different ages, genders, and of hugely different personalities. He was clearly making things up on a routine basis.
3) I then saw that his IP was highly similar to several other previously banned posters, which strongly indicated this was an alt account. Which has been verified in this very thread.
This took me approximatley 5 minutes of research. It became abundantly clear that the user was in violation of multiple, permanent-ban-worthy rules simultaneously. I banned him.
I point all this out because I find the suggestion of some sort of grand persecution -- of moderators carefully tracking him, waiting for a time to catch him -- to be so enormously out of sync with reality that it deserved mention. I did not know he existed until a few moments before he was gone, and I had already forgotten his existence by the time this thread popped up.
That was the sum total of my experience with this user. There is no conspiracy, no burning hatred amongst the moderators for this poster. We were not watching his every step waiting for him to slip up, so that we could exact our seething animosity more palpably. The reality is much simpler: he was a random poster who clearly deserved to be banned for multiple reasons, so I banned him. The delusions of grandeur are so totally out of proportion with the pedestrian nature of his existance and final dismissal that this rare glimpe inside the moderation process seemed warranted.
