dogs and cats were domesticated through thousands of years of selective breeding to make them smaller and less vicious so that they wouldn't accidentally kill their owners.

endangered slow lorises are domesticated by quickly cutting or pulling out their teeth so they can't bite you and poison you, which leads to hundreds of dead or infected animals.

yeah, people who own wild animals for pets are scum.

There is a study done on Domesticated foxes and they found that in under 6 generation of contact with human beings as pet, the physiology changed. The tail is shorter, the posture is different and the ears are different too. They changed to adapt to be pets.

"Morphological changes: These changes were perhaps the most surprising (and gave the best support to Belyaev’s predictions). A much higher proportion of experimental foxes had floppy ears, short or curly tails, extended reproductive seasons, changes in fur coloration, and changes in the shape of their skulls, jaws, and teeth. They also lost their “musky fox smell.”"

What is a wild animal? All animals can be domesticated enough to befriend them.

Factually incorrect statement.

Domestication is fundamentally different from habituation or taming, which is probably what you are referring to. Domesticated animals have been altered at a genetic level by artificial selection.

That's what I mean. Any animal could be captured, reproduced and after some time it would become "Man made" to be a pet. Most mammals are like that at least. Like cows who get sick if you dont remove the milk from them, because they were chosen over generation to make more and more milk.

Except many animals possess traits that make it nearly unfeasible for selective breeding projects to be successful. To this day we still have not domesticated the Elephant, because it is far cheaper to tame them than breed them.

Sure, but if you wanted a pet elephant, you could. The possibility is there. Like cats, they started as mouse killers and now they became useless furry robots.
Pigs are cool pets too. Clean like a Cat too.
Racoons, skunks, birds, they all make great pets too.

I take the Thor comic as Thor placing the hammer on Loki's toilet, not on their shared toilet. Loki pissing/shitting in his own tank seems kind of weird. He should piss all over the hammer, though.
