I have no apple devices either. If someone decides to try this and already has the PS3 version, I would be very grateful if you could please PM me the code for it. I think my sister has an ipad for work, I might have to use that and try to get it that way lol

Cool, I think Fat Princess is a game my 4 year old would love, so may as well try to get it. Thanks for the heads up.

a bit too bloody for your 4 year old don't you think? Sure it's cartoony, but can get quite "gore" sometimes.

This is developed by the people behind Vita's Uncharted card game, One Loop Games. I guess SCE has a partnership with them.

Thanks for the heads up. I only played it once a few years ago. We talk with our kids about the things they see on tv versus what is in real life and what not.

The race to the bottom has now actually gone beyond the bottom, and we're effectively being paid to play these shitty games.

This is just an amazing development.

Don't have an iPhone, I have an Android phone. :(

If anyone already has a copy of Fat Princess on PS3, would you mind sparing a code? :p

Would much prefer the PSP game for my Vita though, shame that's not offered. :(

The PS3 game was fun, but died about as fast a death as Crashing All Cars in terms of the online. I wonder if this will rejuvenate interest in the game.

That's not true. Back in the day Fat Princess was all I had to play online for months... And I did. Even through my then horribly shitty connection I was able to find full matches with ease.

No guys, play AirMech instead. It's the Herzog Zwei spiritual successor we need...who needs freakin' Fat Princess! (That, and Carbon's currently working on AirMech anyway, so concurrent support would help).

Maybe it was just when I played, but after a couple of months, it just seemed to be more AI than human players most of the time.

Depending on the host's connection, the game limited the number of human players. But even playing for months I rarely saw a game with no bots.

Played up to level 15 and got my code. Its a very fun and well produced iOS game. I'll keep it on my iPod Touch and play more for sure.

Sony makes android phones and has a dedicated handheld... makes perfect sense to release this on ios.

Which of those platforms has the most users, though? And that's not just VS iPhones, I mean compared to all iOS devices. (honest question, not trying to be snarky because I genuinely don't know how well their phones sell comparatively)

I thought they shut down the servers on the original Fat Princess? Or was that the PSP game, Fistful of Cake? (BTW, PSP had so much better online than Vita, so sad.)

Why is it not on android inb4 vita?

Again, it's probably because there are vastly more iOS devices out there for people to play this on than Vitas or Sony Android phones.

Curious they wouldn't just... do a simultaneous release across all platforms, iOS and Android at the very least (sorry Vita). :\

Twitch's E3 stream has a spot devoted to an unannounced PS4/PSV digital title. I wouldn't be surprised if that's a sequel to Fat Princess.

To everyone wondering about Android/Vita versions. I asked and got this:

"We are currently releasing Fat Princess Piece of Cake on iOS, and are also developing it for Android and PlayStation Vita. We plan to release the game for all 3 platforms at the same time later this year"

Takao, feel free to add to the OP

Not really familiar with the region restrictions on iOS. Can I download this if I'm from the US?

Just a cursory look: How to get a Canadian iTunes account in the US.

That being said, I don't have any Apple products or I would do this because I've always wanted to try this game out. If anyone already owns Fat Princess for PS3 and is going to try the F2P version I would very much like a code.
Maybe a couple of bucks via PayPal for your trouble.
