ps4 with vr and psnow. they freaking planned for this gen.

And they have a VR solution in the oven. This is Sony's game to lose to a ridiculous extent. I'm ready for this. PS2 gen was amazing.

I'd imagine Xbox One is closer to the Wii U at 4 months than the PS4.

That's pretty great news, good for Sony, after the somewhat of a disaster that the PS3 had, to then turn it around and then mostly sort out the issues it had with the PS4, they must be happy. I'm sure the NPD numbers will be a fun topic tomorrow, will be interesting to see that if Sony are second in sales how much of that million were made outside of the US.

I imagine this is one of the news items people on twitter were talking about in regards to stuff coming out this week.

God damn, what a year! Hope the hype and numbers can go strong through E3. I want to hear them announce over 10 million sold during the press conference.

Price it at $400 and also include a month of Plus to boost subscription numbers and give newcomers more free games.

I'd buy it in a heartbeat, but I don't know if they're making enough money from the hardware for that yet. Plus it's not like the PS4 needs the help.

I don't expect to see such bundles until the holiday season.

I don't know why this article has been flamed so hard. It actually makes a pretty solid argument. PS4 might (and probably will) wind up being a runaway success, but first-day sales figures are a very poor indicator of future performance.

Having sustained this pace for the past 5 months, on the other hand, does paint a very bright picture for this console's future.

Hope Sony doesnt get cocky here, they accomplished this by listening.

so far they've adapted the next generation corporate thinking. they've loosened their ties around their necks and i think it's even more comfortable for the execs now more than ever.

it's not like they only listened to their customers. i feel like the openness and communication within their playstation division opened up and that's why they're having success now. it's good that they realised this sooner rather than later.
