While it is fake, the reason for a cheaper ps4 would probably be because the company manufacturing ps4 is 70% chinese and 30% Sony.
It doesn't make much sense business wise to not re-import it through Hong Kong or Singapore.

Hypothetical:
$100 manufacturing cost
$500 sale price

Direct sale:
$100 cost
$500 sale
25% tax on $400 profit in China
$100 of taxes in China

Indirect sale:
$100 cost
Pay subsidiary or contract manufacturer $105 to export it to Singapore/HK subsidiary
Manufacturer pays 25% tax on $5 profit
Distributor imports it from Singapore/HK subsidiary for $495 cost, sells it for $500, passes on any custom duties to customer
Distributor pays 25% tax on $5 profit in China
Singapore/HK subsidiary pays 0% tax on $390 profit since Singapore/HK does not tax offshore income
$2.50 of taxes in China

Just release the One Piece and Naruto games for these two plattforms - sell billions!

The PSP was really popular in China, but that was because it was so easy to play pirated games on it. I think Sony should do some special PS+ games for China. Pay 5$ each month for PS+ and get some good games for the console.

If Xbox One's launch policy is to be reassured on PS4 then its fate will be the same too. You can buy a PS4 for exactly $399 from online retailers plus easy access to HK PSN store where 60$ games are sold for 50$, no one will buy a significantly more expensive PS4 with no games due to censorship. Last time I checked the Chinese Xbox One in-game store there are only 11 games there.

So the launch price for the PS4 will be 2899元/465$. Vita is 1299元. That's cheaper than in Europe, at least.

So will any of those Chinese games ever come over to the US. It is cool they are somewhat embracing the local devs. The more games from around the world the better. Gaming can always use more variety.

No FPS games? No EA/Activision?

If the price is right I might grab DW8 on the Vita, since it should just be a traditional to simplified conversion anyways, should be easy.

They better not censor any gam... oh wait they will.
