It's not their IP though. I find it strange that Activision wouldn't want initial control over its announcement.

Unless its a co-ownership now or Activision licensing the IP out to Sony for a few games . They know it will be successful, so they are letting Sony have free reign over advertising for the IP.

If they bought the IP though........that is a whole other story .

Maybe Activision sees how Playstation fans want Crash and think it might be better just letting Sony do whatever with it rather than themselves as a way of saving money on a dead franchise as for building hype.

I mean, I'd much rather have Sony say stuff about Crash than Activision because Sony saying stuff makes me think of the first three game and Activision makes me think of what they did to Spyro with Skylanders (as in made him an ugly, hideous monster, not made a huge toys to life game).

Seriously though, I'm currently replaying Crash 1 through 3... and I need a new one, they're so good >.>

At the very least, we will see the PS1 and PS2 games (Crash 1-3, CTR, Wrath of Cortex, Nitro Kart, Twinsanity, Tag Team Racing, the Mutant Series) on PS4 by the end of the year.

Even if that is the case, heck, at least it would give the PS2 games some attention. Twinsanity is a good game while CNK is a really good successor to CTR (to me at least). Tag Team Racing is an odd game but one that could be fun to mess around with .

They're probably doing something with Activision for the 20th Anniversary. Though I doubt there's going to be some some major Crash revival. I could see them doing a smaller digital title that's maybe just a mix of select levels from the first 3 games but redone in HD.
