I remember clicking at a x'amd ad (at the game tab) but maybe then the movie tab was already available.

Edit: I reconnected to my US account a few times now and I can still access the movie tab.

Perhaps some change on your ISP's side, which is allowing you to get past the IP region lock. I remember one gaffer from Singapore had access to the movie store tab when it was released.
