Playstation Store 09/25/08 - Tanod's catch up week

when is my burrito

Thanks to Goldrusher for being awesome and helping with the lists! :lol

• I went back through the PS Store 09/11/08 thread and completely redid the lists. It contains a lot of catch up that I promised for all the Japanese content that's posted lately and that thread never got a final check over. Goldrusher did an awesome job last week and did it with no prior notice from me. Thanks so much!

Playstation Store 09/11/08

• Limited public beta for LittleBigPlanet is now taking place. Keep your eyes open and your F5 trigger finger ready when websites start handing out codes. Only European sites have given out codes so far and those codes only work for Euro-PSN accounts. Sharing is limited. IGN has said they will be giving away codes in the near future. MM has said that there will NOT be a demo.

• Public beta for Resistance is to start late in September or early October. Sign up for the public beta here.

• Japan's Video Store is live. All indications are that the European store will not be ready until 2009 still.

• The UK is going to get it's own Qore-style "digital magazine" early next year from Future publishing (the same partner that SCEA uses) and in association with Edge Magazine.

• The Home beta was expanded this week to include more people. The launch of publicly available Home 1.00 is still on track for a Fall release.

• One of the most touted features (Media/video sharing) shown when Home was announced will not be included in 1.00 and they have adopted a non-committal stance as to if they will update Home to include that feature down the road (i.e. bitch at them or you're not gonna get it).

• Burnout Paradise got a trophy patch today. Trophies require a new save file to be created and are not retroactive. Criterion says they tried but were not able to do it like they had originally thought.

• The Punisher: No Mercy stand-alone game was announced for PSN. Currently listed as a PSN exclusive. SP and online MP third person shooter running on Unreal Engine 3 estimate to be under a 1GB download.

• Singstar received an update this week to allow for disk-swapping between the PS3 versions. PS2 disk-swapping has yet to be released but is planned.

• Unreal Tournament 3 received an update this week to fix some bugs, make some other improvements and increase usability.

• Wipeout HD does include a Platinum trophy and is the first downloadable title outside War Hawk to include one. It would appear that $19.99 (which Wipeout HD will go for) is the "Platinum threshold."

Well, shit. Does this mean the AU sign-up that just opened up is only open to AU PSN users?

Will drop pants for Sony.

Wipeout HD >>> Megaman9 for me:D

Is there any doubt. If I had money for just one, Wipeout HD would get it.

I am going to be so torn between the LBP beta and wipeout HD.

I have never played a wipeout before, should I get this ? for people with experience with wipeout, what is it expected of this HD incarnation, is it any good ?

Waiting for Wipeout HD to download will be torture

Don't go thinking I've forgotten about Bust-A-Groove, Sony.. :(
Argghh, two really good racers that I really want coming out on the same day?

That's what I get for waiting for Burnout's trophy patch.

I've read many posts lately about people attempting to get into the LBP beta and failing. People reading about the gloriously positive feedback from the beta, but being left out. I am one of those people, and I do not care. Because wipeout HD is fucking coming.

I'll be refreshing the PS Store so I can get WipEout HD as soon as possible. I'm not a big Mega Man fan, but I might also download Mega Man 9.

Looks like Angel Love Online is up in Japan. It's a free download, and 1.2 GB, I'm downloading it now. Won't have a clue what to do, is there any sort of guide online for us filthy gaijin? :D

how do I slip unnoticed out of a gloryhole booth?
Anyone know if MM9 has a later release date in Europe? Since it's not on the list. Is it just unconfirmed or is it coming this way later? :(

Distinguished Air Superiority
Hope you guys are prepared for the slowest download speeds of PSN's existence today.

That's why I want MM9! :( But there isn't a EU date. Wipeout is a given, but everyone will be on it and it'll take forever D:

Finally, Wipeout! :D, too bad that I will be a little busy and not able to dive in head first until friday afternoon :( but I will be able to get some tastes

Should Punisher go onto this list(GAMES 2009 (or Unknown)) or do we wait and see?
