I don't see the blame for Capcom. They told you in advance that Mega Man 9 would have DLC. Plus the game is only $10. A full fledged old school Mega Man game for $10. You don't have to buy the extras if you don't want to.

Edit: looked that the japanese dengeki article again. Guess they are adding it to the store later today.

These days, "full fledged" should at least include Hard Mode without having to shell out 1/10th of the game's price. "Harder Mode" and Time Attack is even more ridiculous.

Not to mention they have no problem nickle and diming us with crap like that, but apparently have no time to patch in Trophy Support.

Any other time of year I would be buying the Penny Arcade game but I have a freaking feast of retail games on my shelf already and it's only getting worse. Hopefully I'll have time to play through episode 1 by the time episode 2 comes out. Or episode 3, whatever

But trophies would be just bizarre as a pop-up in the game. I dunno. I think the game was a good deal for $10.

I'm not denying that. Awesome game, and it's worth the price of admission. None of the DLC however, is. This atrocious type of business model always puts a sour taste in my mouth, no matter how good the base game is.

I was really loved the awesome PSN games during the slow gaming summer, but right now, with all those big and lengthy retail titles coming out, I can't really justify to buy a lot of the DLC titles, even though I want to play most of them.. It really sucks, but there's just no time.

Gaming and I have such a love/hate relationship this time of the year.

Yeah but... they're charging for different difficulties, I think when Capcom said that people would have thought extra levels, not to mention how close this DLC launches after the main thing.

What next, $1 for double jump?

I do understand you but from the impressions, those difficulty levels aren't just giving more life to the ennemies. They rethink ennemy spawns and some platform placement.

Won't buy them cause I have a hard time finishing it on normal >_<

0.01$ for every shot.

5$ for extended staff roll at the end of the game.

Some would defend this anyway.

This shit makes me pick up older titles more often now. When devs respected gamers money more.

One thing I still don't get is why the game isn't 60 fps, with the PS1/2 quality of the game. I mean, 90% of the game you fly over the water... why's the water effect worse than the water in GTA3?
