Since Hitman has an unlock toggle, this means Hitman 1 & 2 should run at at least 60 if not higher. I’m happy.
God of War as well.

They need to show us it works and how well it works. Telling us on a blog post is not enough. Youtubers have been running the Series X for weeks now and Sony is still being cryptic. There is no emulation.
PS5 APU works via hardware as PS4 and PS4 Pro APU.
AMD and Sony worked to make that works.
Games works... if it is satisfactory to you is on you.
We don't know that. They're asking us to test each PS4 game before getting add ons on PS5. If it was only ten, the message would have been don't get add ons for the following 10 games. That one's a bummer, but the fact that only ten out of 4000+ PS4 games won't work on PS5 is quite an achievement.

If it works that well, why not show it?

You can transfer digital games and saved data from a PS4 console to a PS5 console using WiFi data transfer.
Well at least is compatible with this is enough for me.nope. That game had locked the framerate. And Sony with Spider-Man is clear they are not going to patch older games.
Anything above zero would be good thank you very much. We're very far from 4000 at the moment. You want to be shown 4.000 games that work? That's going to be one hell of a long video.

I'm outraged.

"It works" isn't enough. What is the performance like? We want to see reviews now Sony.
Very glad the concern trolling and FUD around PS5/PS4 BC will be finally be over.
Cerny specifically said his PS5 talk that the "boost" mode was so "massive" that some PS4 game code simply couldn't handle it and that boost support would need to be done on a "game by game" basis. The fact they've further reiterated here that only "select PS4 games" will benefit from PS5 boost confirms this with out a doubt. Honestly that's a big let down, if I'm not mistaken pretty much any title on Xbox can benefit from the Series X's new power automatically if it has uncapped framerate or a dynamic resolution or even on unstable locked framerate. The fact the it seems like most PS4 games are just going to run as they did on PS4 or PS4 Pro is bullshit.
In theory yes, but despite the architecture's being similar they're not the same and developers would have to go in and update some settings. Can someone explain ps5 boost vs ps4 pro enhancements? Shouldn’t the ps5 max out back compat titles?
They explicitly said you can access your compatible PS4 library after logging in.wait, so, my digital PS4 games are not going to appear in my PS5 library..? I was hoping that was the case.
So, if i didn't understand it wrong, for me to play my PS4 digital games i need a Harddrive with all my PS4 games in it, or i need to keep my PS4 for downloading the games and make the transfer.. Fuck
Please tell me that i get it wrong

EDIT: Please tell me that i get it wrong and the "Installing PS4 digital games" part is what i ment
That's exactly what the backtracking is about with twitter users who claimed PS5 DE could do /NO/ BC.
I want Gravity Rush 2 in 4k 60 fps.
If is confirmed. I will instant buy again the game and the ps5 at launch.
Is there a list with boosted games?
You act surprised now but there's going to be complaints about people not being insert ps4 games on their digital edition ps5
Based off what Sony have said it's pretty much the only conclusion you can come to. If your "boost mode" is so "powerful" it breaks game code to the extent games can't automatically make use of it and instead need to patched in for "select" games then you're a noticeable step down on what MS is doing with their back-comp.That is a lot of assertions. You could also just realize that games with locked frame rates will show no noticeable effects.
Like I explained (and Cerny told everybody) before.
PS4 BC Mode: Hardware legacy mode, 99% of the games works, no test required.
PS4 Pro BC Mode: Hardware legacy mode, 99% of the games works, no test required.
PS5 BC Boost Mode: Hardware native mode, only tested games works and some needs patch (games after July 8th are required to work and be tested by own devs).
But the FUD here was unbelievable.
Sony & AMD did an amazing job making the APU being hardware BC compatible with PS4.
My backlog says hooray for those games entitled for boost mode. That's good news for people who care about BC and old games.
I don't give a fuck about BC.
Some answer to this good man because I'm in the same position, I'm holding my ps4 pro but I want to sell it in order to get a PS5. but my library it's pretty extensive and I don't want to miss any game (at least I got none of the lists of no supported)Is it safe to sell my PS4 before my PS5 arrives?
I just have to log out from my account on PS4 before i sell it? Or should i do anything else?

If that list of incompatible games isn't growing up, you're pretty safe. Some answer to this good man because I'm in the same position, I'm holding my ps4 pro but I want to sell it in order to get a PS5. but my library it's pretty extensive and I don't want to miss any game (at least I got none of the lists of no supported)
I forgot! Now I’m gonna revisit that on PS5.God of War as well.
What you’re insinuating is essentially the original plan for XB1, limiting used games behind DRM and an online connection.
Can you imagine if PS5s BC was only enabled for online users? That would be nightmare PR.
It’s a hassle but at least I can pass my disc on to a friend and they can play the game without any issues.
Transfer digital games from a PS4 console to a PS5 console
- You can transfer digital games and saved data from a PS4 console to a PS5 console using WiFi data transfer.
- You can access PS4 games on a PS5 console directly from a PS5 extended storage drive.
Install a PS4 digital game on a PS5 console
- Select game library from your Games home.
- Select the game you want to play.
- If you haven't already downloaded the game, select Download.
- The game will install automatically. Depending on the game, you may have the option to copy and play a portion of the game right away.
It stuck to me your usual concern trolling.
If I said we would like to see performance comparisons you would reply "why would Sony compare their games to the competition?".why would Sony review their own games?
I forgot! Now I’m gonna revisit that on PS5.

Don't seem like they are pertaining to installing PS4 games from disc onto the internal storage or connected expanded storage. Maybe someone can provide some clarification?
