PlayStation Turkey VP: The Last of Us + Left Behind DLC coming to PS4 in summer 2014

Another thing to consider is that ND is the home of Sony's ICE teams, their big tech guys.

The techniques and tools used to port this could be used to help port other PS3 games, making a more financially feasible idea to port more games that need the power of the PS4.

I know Infamous 1 and 2 both had terrible framerate issues, and it'd be nice to give some people playing ISS an idea of what the original was like. Although I doubt they would reach that far back.

Remember how they said the original game AI was originally much better (practically the reveal trailer)? And remember how they said they had to scale things back because the game became "unfair" and enemies would flank you non-stop?

What if that new difficulty is that, with no cuts? Including that enemy AI recognize your companion AI as well? That would certainly add a crazy (but awesome) new layer of difficulty to the game.
They couldn't do enemy AI that recognizes your companion. It would be entirely too frustrating as your companion doesn't have very good AI itself and would constantly be messing up whatever you were trying to do. Its not even that its unfair, it would just be infuriating and you'd probably end up hating your companion. lol

This.
If i think of all the times Ellie straight up walked in front of the (unsuspecting) dude while trying to get in cover or follow me.
It would've been infuriating if she wasn't invisible.

Personally, don't know if I would play through it again with better visuals. What ND did with the PS3 visuals was astounding enough.

Last of Us is mostly about the story, shock value, and the unknown, not knowing what to expect or the suspense of what's around the corner. Without that, it's really not as fun. It'll be just a stealth game and murder simulator!

The hatred would just make your parental bond stronger!
ah ok, thanks for clarifying though.

Great news. Here's what would make things even better I think. Make the TLoU multiplayer mode a stand-alone game. Make it F2P if you want to but make it so that many people will at least try it. I have so many friends who haven't touched the survival mode because they think it's your standard shooter team deathmatch mode. It's so much more than that and maybe my favourite multiplayer mode of the last generation.

Yes. Double dipping for sure. Absolutely adore TLoU. One of my favourite games ever. It was always going to happen but if it is the summer like it says here then it's earlier than I expected.

Hopefully they make some sort of collectors edition because in the UK we didn't get the pandemic edition.

Welcome to socom many years ago

This is as much of a surprise as the DS2 next-gen announcement will be. I never passed the first few hours of this game, but maybe I'll get further in 1080p. You never know. I really hated the flow of the game: stealth > action > cutscene. I am, however, a graphics whore, so the uprez amd additional sparkle could be enough to get me to plough through it.

I'm sooooooooo glad I haven't bought "Left Behind" for PS3 yet.

Otherwise I'd be really pissed off now.
But you're not pissed for having bought the main game which was far more expensive?
People have been suspecting this would get ported since last year, didn't stop me from buying LB and I don't regret it at all.

It would be even greater if they remove that shitty online trophies from the PS4 version, but anyway, it would be freaking awesome if finally we have an improved edition for PS4.

GOTY 2013 and 2014

Hope this is true. I've been wanting this for a while. I have no problem double-dipping on this even after spending full retail plus the season pass.

This time I will insist that my wife sits through my playthrough because she still thinks games are for kids and doesn't believe me that the story is Oscar worthy.

No, because I can sell it as soon as the PS4 version is officially announced. Getting at least 25 Euros on eBay for that shouldn't be too hard.

I couldn't do that with "Left Behind". That would have been 15 bucks down the drain.

Honestly, I didn't expect TLOU to be released for the PS4 at all.

But I'm always cautious when it comes to digital purchases. There are many games or expansions I would buy Day 1 at retail, but would buy much later or maybe not at all if they're only released digitally. Especially if they're as expensive as the TLOU-DLC. 15 Euros was just too much. Now I'm glad I waited.

As someone who never owned a PS3, this is great news. I'll definitely be picking this one up to experience it and see whether or not it truly is one of the greatest stories told in gaming.

I hope it'll be a very noticeable difference like in Tomb Raider: DE.

Now I hope to get GTA V as well and I have all the "missed" games covered on my PS4!

I'm strangely unexcited at the prospect of a PS4 port of TLoU, and I don't know why because it was my favourite game of last year. But I truthfully don't care all that much for it. The port I'm really pining for is GTAV; I think that game will benefit so much more by being on the PS4. I'm looking forward to it so much that I sold my PS3 copy this week when some insider recently outright said that GTAV/PS4 is happening.

I want to be able to upgrade from my digital PS3 version. There is no reason they shouldn't be able to do that since it is all account based, and Sony has been all about cross buy.
I really hope they do this to some extent. I bought the PS3 digital release when it was on offer for 29,99€ (version with the season pass included costed like 6€ more) in december. Shortly afterwards I joined PS+ so I virtually already lost 3€ or whatnot that I could've kept if I just entered the damned PS+ code before (since I already had it but just didn't feel like entering PS+ already). Until today I haven't played it for more than 2 hours. I'm a dumbass, I know. )

my most trusted source (my ass) tells me that the game is going to be free on PS+. Because of that Naughty Dog decided to make the game look like the PS4 plus games that have launched the last couple of months.

lol. they should have squeezed gta5, last guardian questions since he seems so talkative.
"The Last Guardian? You mean the big cat thing? Oh yeah that's out next February... ... Huh? ... No we announced that at E3 I think... We didn't?... Are you sure?.... I was just looking at the excel thing the other day, I could have sworn..."

Still have not played The Last Of Us.

Still have not seen one piece of media except about 3 minutes of game play from an E3 prior to its release.

Still know nothing about the story.

Can't wait to experience this for the first time on PS4.
