Gen 4 was idiotic because for some reason they decided we needed MORE psychic legendaries. Gen 3 was a step down from one and two as well and went with quantity over quality.

I like having lots of legendaries to track down
The quest to catch all the legendaries is one of the most fun parts of the games for me.
Not when a good bit of them are event exclusive, missed wifi events, or require more games.
Hopefully they'll exspand on what they did for Bw2 by just putting them all in somewhere lol.

Ive been playing these games since day one and i think gen v has some of the best pokemon designs. That said, there are definitely too many legendary pokemon and the concept has really taken a nose dive since gen iii. Hoping to see very few legends this time around.

I'd like it more if they had more of a bigger and better storyline/quest to go through with your pokémon following you, rather than just dumping them in a "special" cave. The extravagant entrances they have can stay of course.
The storyline needs a shake up as much as the graphics did. Gen V was a step in the right direction for me, but still had Trainer vs Team Blah throughout.
Heck yes. Rayquaza is the boss. (Literally if you count Subspace Emissary)

I agree with the sentiment about there being too many legendaries. They don't feel "legendary" anymore.
They felt really mysterious and powerful back when they were so few and elusive, aka Mew/Mewtwo and Ho-Oh/Lugia.

I would too, but I'm not going to be the guy to say "if you don't do this perfectly, just get rid of it". I'd rather have that content in the game, even if executed imperfectly.
Moreover, I think they can still preserve the mystique surrounding certain legendaries by tying them into the plot, which they are doing now. The rest can be filler, I don't mind, it's still something to do.

Oh, absolutely. But I'm just talking about something even as simple as information gathering to find where the heck they are. Anything.
Heck, they have Events, just do them longer and more often, but not (always) via WiFi and such.
Would make the game a hell of a lot more engrossing. =)
And Gen V surprised me by having the villain continue after the game had "finished".
This is some "Zelda Timeline"-esque malarkey right here.

Toys 'R' Us Fateful Encounter Shaymin (unlocks the Gracidea in Platinum and HG/SS)
2010 Wifi Mew (A couple, don't know what their stats are)
2010 Gamestop Jirachi (likewise)
"Pikachu-Colored" Pichu (unlocks Spiky-eared Pichu in HG/SS and is the worst thing ever)
I may have shiny Raikou, Suicune and Entei trio and fateful encounter Celebi sitting around somewhere, but I'm not too sure about those. Celebi unlocks a short event in HG/SS and all of them can be transferred over to B/W early to unlock Zorua or Zoroark. Just PM me if you're interested and we can set things up.
