It was a hat?!?!?!?!
New Mega-Evos huh? That means a major update for X & Y is confirmed.
It's worth pointing out that the wetsuit redesigns for the protagonists make some sense considering Hoenn is a tropical region that's half water.
It's par for the course for new entries in the same generation to not feature full compatibility. It's part of how they drive sales of the new versions. X&Y probably aren't getting squat.
A swimmer? In Hoenn? Inconceivable.

Brendan's different skin tone indicates customization (At least that aspect) may still be there.
If so, please, God, let me switch from those awful duds. May especially, what the fuck is with that dress? It looks like it should be in the bedroom, not on a kid going on a Pokemon adventure. Real fucking downgrade from the previous design.
Gamefreak, if Wallace is the Champion again instead of Steven I swear to god....
This makes no sense. "No one gonna use earthquake while gengar is in play." "No one is gonna use flame thrower heatran is in play." If the dude refuses to use electrical attacks while mega sceptile is in play then I successfully eliminated an option. Also rotom-W is pretty difficult to hard counter because nothing hard counters it, yet. If regular Sceptile switches in on Rotom-W and it does volt switch then welp. Mega-Sceptile however stops that move from working with lightning rod and can stay in on rotom-w, free. Switching in on volt switch and rendering the move useless is an additional opportunityNot irrelevant, just disappointing. Thunder Wave immunity is nothing to write home about, especially when Mega Sceptile wouldn't switch into the most common Thunder Wave users.
Also, it's a completely different case with Zapdos; it takes neutral damage from Electric moves, so the extra immunity is pretty a big deal.
It doesn't really gain any more switch in opportunities. It already hard countered the hell out of Rotom-W with that quadruple resistance to both of its STAB. LightningRod just gives a bonus from switching into Electric attacks in Singles. Not like hard countering Rotom-W is a difficult thing to do anyhow. Also, keep in mind that a good player will absolutely not use Electric attacks while Mega Sceptile is in play (and Mega Sceptile can't make use of the ability until it switches in). Rotom-W's are probably going to Will-o-Wisp or flat out switch out.
Seriously, I do not see these growing on me; these are the worst main character designs in the entire series.Yeah, we need customisation. Characters look awful and their attire is disgusting.
Oh yeah also that, why everyone is so freaking skinny? Look May's legs and then look the ones of this wannabe for example.A swimmer with toothpicks for arms? I think they're trying to bring across a cyclist vibe since RSE were the only games to feature 2 kinds of bike, which was an awful idea and it's a shame they're bringing it back.

Brendan doesn't look very different from his Emerald design other than the fact that he isn't wearing loose shorts with pants under them anymore, he also looks more like a cyclist than a swimmer. May's design is pretty similar too, she just had her bandana turn into a head band, her shirt is sleeveless now and instead of wearing a tiny skirt she has shorts.
Of course there'll be customization. You should be expecting more than in XY, not less.

Hell even Steven's trousers are ridiculous at how adherent they are.
Yeah you are pretty much blind, RS->E is a minor design change RSE->ORAS is pretty much a "fuck it let's put totally different people in (not so) similar clothes"
I guess that's what you get for being excited about a game, as soon as they show you a disgusting thing it pretty much kills the game for you.

It's Gamefreak, the kings of removing well received features for no reason at all.Of course there'll be customization. You should be expecting more than in XY, not less.
Don't get your hopes up. There's no reason for them not to follow the Emerald story, especially since putting Wallace back as Gym Leader would mean retconning Juan, which is pretty unlikely since he appeared in the PWT as a Gym Leader and Wallace showed up as a Champion.
It's Gamefreak, the kings of removing well received features for no reason at all.
Also, it can't be following Emerald because it's two versions again: Team Magma and Groudon will be in Omega Ruby, Team Aqua and Kyogre are in Alpha Sapphire.
Won't grass/dragaon have way too many weaknesses?
It's a shirt that looks like a dress. She's wearing a shirt and shorts...
Not that I'm particularly thinking there won't be a patch, but does that really matter? Damage calculations are still done on the attack host, so it doesn't matter if the other side has the information or not.Ah but this time it's different. Form changes added in later games were never in-battle changes to stats, ability and types. These are.

Lightning Rod works good as a normal ability, ala Manectric. You can take advantage of it on a surprise switch and then Mega Evolve. As a Mega Evolution ability, it might as well not be there at all.
I think we can all agree that for once these character designs are actually superior to the originals.
