PR:

BELLEVUE, Wash. – November 14, 2014 – Today, The Pokémon Company International revealed Delta Episode story details for the Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire games launching November 21, 2014. Players can learn more about the new Delta Episode, featuring Deoxys and other surprises; the region¹s Mirage spots that conceal Legendary Pokémon; and the mystery of the ancient codes hidden throughout Hoenn in the new trailer.

Embark on a new adventure and encounter Deoxys in the Delta Episode
Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire introduce a new story, the Delta Episode, which reveals the history of the Hoenn region and thrusts Trainers into a quest to save the world. The Mossdeep Space Center, a research facility for studying space and rocket science, discovers that a giant asteroid is hurtling toward the planet. Trainers must stop Team Magma and Team Aqua from attacking the facility. Meanwhile, a battle in space is brewing between the Sky High Pokémon Rayquaza and the DNA Pokémon Deoxys, a powerful Pokémon that can transform between four distinct Formes: Normal Forme, Attack Forme, Defense Forme, and Speed Forme. Rayquaza faces a fateful challenge that will determine the future of Hoenn.

Helping Trainers restore peace to the Hoenn region are Sootopolis City¹s Gym Leader, Wallace, and the Hoenn region¹s Champion, Steven, both of whom hold secrets to stopping the asteroid. Trainers will also meet Zinnia, a mysterious girl rumored to possess the key to the fate of the world. Zinnia wears a Mega Anklet set with one of the mysterious Key Stones, which allows her Salamence to Mega Evolve.

Encounter Legendary Pokémon Latias and Latios with an Eon Ticket
To catch the Legendary Pokémon Latias in Pokémon Omega Ruby, or Latios in Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, Trainers must first reach the Southern Island by acquiring and using an Eon Ticket. Eon Tickets will be distributed via the Mystery Gift function on the title menu. Codes for the Eon Ticket will be provided to Play! Pokémon organizers and North American StreetPass communities and will be active on November 21. Once a Trainer redeems an Eon Ticket in the game, the ticket can be shared with other players by activating StreetPass on BuzzNav.

Search for Legendary Pokémon in Mirage spots
Legendary Pokémon found in previous Pokémon video games will return in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire through mysterious Mirage spots appearing around Hoenn. While exploring Mirage spots with Soar, Trainers can battle and catch an array of powerful Legendary Pokémon, including Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Uxie, Mesprit, Azelf, Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion, Tornadus, Thundurus, Landorus, Cresselia, and Heatran. Encounters with Legendary Pokémon found in Mirage spots will vary based on which game is being played.

Decipher ancient codes to encounter Legendary titans Regirock, Regice, and Registeel
Mirage spots are not the only place where Trainers can encounter Legendary Pokémon. Regirock, Regice, and Registeel, the Legendary titans of the Hoenn region, make their return in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. They can be encountered after Trainers decipher ancient messages scattered throughout the region. After catching all three of these titans and meeting other special conditions, Trainers can encounter and catch the powerful Colossal Pokémon Regigigas, said to be the creator of the Legendary trio.

Send a Pokémon obtained in the Special Demo Version to the full game
Trainers can obtain a powerful Pokémon in the Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire Special Demo Version and send it to their full Pokémon Omega Ruby or Pokémon Alpha Sapphire game via Pokémon Link: Glalie, an Ice-type Pokémon that can Mega Evolve into the menacing Mega Glalie. Trainers can likewise send the Mythical Pokémon Diancie, which can be obtained via a code card from participating GameStop stores, from Pokémon X and Pokémon Y to Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.

Discover more fun at the Pokémon Global Link
Poké Miles and Medals earned in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y as well as Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire will allow Trainers to play Mine Cart Adventure, a new PGL attraction that debuts in concert with Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. In Mine Cart Adventure, Trainers must navigate carts on winding tracks to collect Berries and win a variety of Poké Balls.

Nice to see so many legendaries in the game, transferring them from gamers older than B/W is far too tedious. And Regigigas will be in there too - I wonder if he'll have a special area? The Regi's are Hoenn's native trio, so I would hope Regigigas would be a little important. Actually, that reminds me - I wonder if they will bring braille back as the method of unlocking the Regi's? I thought that was pretty cool when I originally played the game.

Episode Delta sounds great, cool to see a new character as well. However, I hope that it is not the only real postgame content, like the Looker missions were in X/Y. Previous games in the series had far less storyline-focused postgames, but had far more content as a result. I hope this isn't too much of a compromise - it does look like a lot of fun though. I'll finally get a Deoxys too.

I found the positioning of them in the trailer regarding mirage spots worrying in this respect. Then again they should still be in the Hounen dex so hopefully still in the main game.

Edit: http://www.pokemonrubysapphire.com/en-us/pokemon/legendary-pokemon/messages-left-in-hoenn Braile confrimed?

I'd also hesitate on the celebrations as it would be bizarre to give us all those legendaries in one playthrough while in XY being like, "only one bird for you".

I wonder if you can catch only one legendary of the same, like only one Azelf, because mirage spots seems like something generated randomly..

I hope you can catch multiples of the same :D

Has anyone mentioned when they'll have reviews up for the game? I just wanted something to get me more hyped, not that there's any reason to worry or that it'll particularly affect my purchase.

I was planning on skipping this game but all these legendaries I can catch in this game is making it hard to avoid.

Did they specify if you can actually catch all of those legendaries on one file or is it going to be like XY where only one of the trio is stupidly only available according to your starter choice?

Holy shit, you can basically get every non-event legendary but the legendary birds in this game. I had a bunch of legendaries between a hanful of DS Pokemon games I have yet to sent to my 3DS but now I can just get ORAS to get them.

Looks like a character straight from Kill la Kill lol

"Encounters with Legendary Pokémon found in Mirage spots will vary based on which game is being played."

Sounds like I need to wait until I know which version has Suicune before i buy it.

So essentially, to get Latios or Latias you need an Eon ticket from someone, and you hopefully live in a populated enough area to make that happen. If you don't get an Eon ticket, using Soar is essentially closed off to you, and therefore you can't get all these other legendary Pokemon at Mirage Spots.

Am I reading that correctly?

No, the eon ticket is only to get the lati not already present in your game.

No. To use Soar you need the Eon Flute, which you can get in the game normally, without StreetPass. It's the Eon Ticket that you get via StreetPass, and is used to make the Latios / Latias appear in your game.

I think the eon ticket is to get the Lati@s that's not version exclusive to whichever version of ORAS you get, so you can still use soar on the one Lati@s you have.
