Our savior has arrived.
...a kingdom hearts boss?
Our savior has arrived.
Tyrantrum is a goddamn T-rex with a beard. It could resemble any JRPG monster, I don't see how it has anything to do with Digimon.

Why? Because they're red dinosaurs with spikes?Sort of the illegitiate offspring of Shoutmon and Growlmon.

I like Honedge better. The pink on Doublade kills it for me. It's my least favorite color. Should have kept the blue or made it purple. That's just my opinion though.
Edit - The design itself is tits though. Just don't like the color.
Double Edit - I just noticed the purple. Pink still ruins it![]()

Digimon are, on the whole, shit though.
Then people need to stop comparing them hah.Apples and oranges.
Oh yeah, don't get me wrong. The Vanillite line is one of my favourites of Gen 5.Obviously it's supposedly to look like an Ice Cream cone. It is however, an icicle with snow on top of it. It's a cute design that personally is one of my favorite Gen 5 Pokemon.
I can't hate the Vanill line. It's literally Slime from Dragon Quest.

Not everything has gotta be anthromorphic! But it's above his eye.
....................Um...
I had the exact same problem with Cradily.I love these guys, but man... Bastiodon confused the heck out of me for a long while. I kept thinking that those four symbols above the spike were it's eyes, and that that spike was a mustache. It looked extremely weird with that giant nose and all.
Just cover up it's eyes to see what I mean.
Our savior has arrived.
So what will we call it?
Unlimited Blade Works?
If they brought the shield to the front it would've looked more obvious and distinct:

Too bad it's probably not going to be released outside of Japan.![]()
cool.
dude Its two swords, like three magnemites, they simply make the same sense as any other "add one more" Pokemon, nothing more, nothing less.People dual wielding swords in no way makes 2 floating swords combining together make anymore sense to me. Dugtrio and magneton make more sense to me and i prefer their simple designs, there is nothing more to it.
I don't particularly like the idea of a sword pokemon in general not just how they handled the evolution. I also happen find both designs ugly. If others disagree fine, i don't think my opinion is the correct one necessarily.
Digimon are, on the whole, shit though.

Interestingly, it knows Sacred Sword
Ooh, does that mean legendary signature moves are being distributed out? C'mon Sacred Fire Flareon!
They didn't release hi-res art?

I think it's more "Stop whining about designs getting worse than G1, G1 did it too." You can not like a design; I think Braixen and vivillion have unappealing designs. It's just obnoxious seeing the same stupid "Pokemon was better when I was a kid" behavior with every single newly revealed one. And it's always disguised by these silly, arbitrary reasons like "too many inanimate objects" or "too colorful" or "not colorful enough".
G1 is actually my second favorite generation.
I guess the Pokemon design has finally hit it's peak...
In my case, I expect better. To me "Two or three Pokemon in one" was always sign of a uninteristing design so I hoped they were aware of that and just not embraced just because "G1 did it"
I should mention that I actually like many of the new designs and that I bought White 2 and was surprised by many improvements. So I'm not much of the camp "G1 was the only one good" but more in "Why people assume that I 'm saying that 1 was better?".
