Pre-E3: SuperDAE’s “Insurance” is Live, Promises Tons of Leaked Content

Pie and Beans

Look for me on the local news, I'll be the guy arrested for trying to burn down a Nintendo exec's house.
This guy is such an idiot. Like pathologically stupid. What would ever be the point in putting up a 1.7TB file other than to troll? JUICY INFO!!! In what, raw uncompressed day long video files?

1.7TB ? This seems like a job for Adam Orth!
It demands a man that has a super internet, could download it through his vacuum.

If that guy isn't just trolling, I'd imagine the Microsoft flight from Redmond to Los Angeles might look like this.

So when is he releasing the key, becuase otherwise it is useless.

And he's an idiot if he thinks these companies will settle. Now that he has made it public there is no way they can just drop it. They will call his bluff and sue after the damage is done.

He should have done it quietly through his lawyers.

I dont know why I laughed as hard as I did.

But yeah, 1.7 tb. I have unlimited internet, but I'm pretty sure my ISP would fucking kill me.

THE WORDS! They'll drift away without the _!
Would need to space it out over 4 months with my cap. I would also need to go track down some additional storage..

Would love to know how he uploaded that

it probably contains child porn so that lots of other people are put in jail so they become full so he doesnt have to go to jail.

"Yes Officer, I was just downloading this 1.7TB data file. What do you mean theres child porn on it? It's OK - a 17 year old in Australia from the net put it on there. No I've not met him but its SuperDAE man. THE SuperDAE. Sure he's being investigated for child porn, but he told me there was stuff on there about the Xbox and teh games"

Sure the file size is about 2400 times the average movie AVI, but it's gotta be legit. Officer?"

Its obvious he's just 17 yrs old and naive to think this would work.
Not a chance in hell. Still, I bet Kotaku have got their hands full between E3 and downloading this.

Oh yeah, I bet the Aussie cops and the FBI are tracking I.Ps for Aussie residents to pick up this evening for distributing child porn now.

Whoever does the decide to download this would be wise to have a spare copy of darik's boot and nuke lying around. Nobody can be sure what this kid has uploaded.

1700GB.

Wow. I've got fibre optic broadband but even then I would never even dream of downloading it, considering it is all from SuperDimwit.

To the guy who does open it, please share its contents with the world and dont be alarmed if you're greeted with a video message of Peter Molyneux in 4K and 3D talking for 12 hours when you open it up. The secret SuperDae was hiding in there is really the true prize Molyneux had hidden at the centre of the Curiosity Cube.

I have a feeling it's a trojan horse, meant for companies like sony, MS, and anybody else threatened by SuperDEA to download and try to de-encrypt.

In attempting to do so they give superDEA and his circle of friends access to their computer which in turn could access a local network.

Honestly I wish the press would pay him no attention.

Also the kid is going to jail.. I mean for a long enough time he'll never know a normal life. Or live under house arrest and be restricted to certain limited internet access.

This idiotic project of protecting himself by threatening to leak info is basically a guilty confession having accessed the companies with a suit against him. And who's to say australia won't extradite him to the US? Where he will be paying for his crimes really harshly.

I have, like, 50 GB free space left, tops, so that means I won't even consider this. Sadly, since it sounds like there's some crazy juicy stuff in it.

Oh well, right now it's just 2TB of random noise anyway.

I like making fun of people as much as anyone, but we should tone it down a little, or this thread will be a grey named graveyard.

How could he have possibly seen it yet unless he was personally sent a 1.7TB HDD? Smells like bullshit.

This 1.7 TB torrent was released a few days ago, i know i read about it last week and i remember reading it was encrypted, so i gathered he was just going to release the passphrase or whatever.

The article words it like it's just been released, though. Seems fishy. And what's this stuff with the bank transfer?
