The argument that these nations are the smallest and insignificant to form a peace treaty is weak. If they were so insignificant and already were indifferent towards Israel, why didn't *any other leader* try to do the same. The answer is simple, war makes money. So many war hawks for so long, it's as if Trump is like the second coming of Jesus wanting peace.
At this rate I wouldn't doubt it. I would kill to get transcripts of the meetings that took place for this to happen.
Did trump set it up like the apprentice? Did he show everyone videos of U.S. missiles hitting Qassem Soleimani's head and tell them to sign the papers? What exactly did Trump do, to make this happen? I am fascinated by the process that took place here.
I think a lot of it is he's getting them to just meet, he got the UAE to accept it, and each one after that should be easier and easier. Once it's no longer 'taboo' to do business with Israel in public in the middle east, there will be no reason to continue the status quo.
Once the governments are OK with Israel, I expect the populations to fall in line as well. Remember prior to 1948 they all lived along with each other in relative peace. I fully believe it can happen again. Having a big boogeyman in Iran definitely helps things too.
I'd prefer Religion not divide people anywhere, any longer.. and while I don't think this is that happening, hopefully it's a small step in the right direction.
I saw something cross the wire today that Trump is expecting "4 or 5" other countries to do the same sometime soon. I doubt they'd do it today, but it would be pretty cool/funny if Trump came out at the end with "Oh, and we have one more thing.."
And its all thanks to Obama. If he didn't suck the Mullaha's cocks while throwing Israel and Saudi under the bus maybe none of this would be happening. But instead Iran became to big of an enemy for the Gulf states and as they say the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
