Hunter x Hunter is probably a shoo in due to the current remake of the series, and is also getting a movie.

Medaka Box is probably another.

What about JoJo since it's gone an Anime? I've been wondering about that though...it's now in Ultra Jump, and there's a game dedicated specifically to it coming out as well. Dio and Jotaro were in JUS, but I wonder if they'll return.

Mr Popo and Nappa in any form imaginable. <3

It switched to Ultra Jump in 2004 so it probably doesn't matter.

For what it's worth, this game is a Namco Bandai product. I'd advise you to keep your dream roster locked to IPs we know they have. ;P Notably, Namco Bandai does not have the license to make Hokuto No Ken, Yu-Gi-Oh! or Bleach games. However, they have the license to most of the other major JUMP series.

Confirmed to be PS3/PSV. Jump will also be having a poll to decide which characters will be included.

If it's PS3/Vita what was the point of "Platform TBA"? Reading some of those Japanese message boards, I wasn't the only one expecting it to be on 3DS ... Did Namco Bandai just pull a Kojima?

I expect this to be on PS3 at least so i happy .
Also it make sense that it would be on PS3 the systems already has a few manga base games so the fan base is there .

Namco Bandai does have a good amount of Sony exclusives next year.

It should be a fighting game.
But don't expect it to be like Jump Stars.

It doesn't have to be like jump at all, just be a fighter doesn't matter if its 2 players like a traditional fighter or 4 players like smash, naruto, powerstone.

Maybe Sony wanted more hype for the game and thought that people would pay more attention to it thinking it was going to be 3DS instead of Vita/PS3.

I think it worked :p

Region locked loser!!
Shame that it'll be a shitty game no one really wants.

Careful, I hear that much salt can lead to high cholesterol.

But hey people wanted region free game! They got what they want even though the dev is suspect!

We don't know who is developing this game. I suspect it's Spike Chunsoft, so there would be reason for concern, but eh.

Bare with me for a sec, does this fiasco include all the Shonen Jump like Naruto, Yugioh, Captain Tsubasa etc?

But it looks like those DBZ games.

I wonder if it's an A team tho

The only thing I (and others) have based that on is the Goku render. We don't know how this game is played, as we've gotten no screenshots. Spike Chunsoft is a large company, so I doubt there would be any issue with making this game and Heroes Vs.

Right now the only franchises confirmed are Dragon Ball, One Piece, and Toriko. However, it would be a pretty big lie to call it "the Ultimate JUMP game" and use it for the magazine's 45th Anniversary if those were going to be the only series represented. Namco Bandai doesn't own the video game publishing rights for Captain Tsubasa, or Yu-Gi-Oh! coincidently KOnami has both of those.
