Next-Gen reviews the PS3:
Not worth getting one now, but they do say that eventually the system will be a must buy. Their newly posted article proclaims Genji and Resistance to be a "one two punch" and says that early adopters are paying mostly for potential "but what else is a console launch for?"
I dunno Next Gen. There's a good track record of brilliant, long-lasting games being released at launch in the past 15 years.
I laughed at this: "One good place to judge the PS3 is its controller. A lot of nonsense has flown about the Siaxis motion sensing (accusing Sony of ripping off Nintendo) and the lack of rumble (accusing Sony of not wanting to pay Immersion money). The controller, thanks to the lack of motors, is light, which is surprisingly good feeling. Its almost identical to its PS2 predecessor, and is comfortable and familiar. Using the PS3's controller is like coming home."
Did they rip Nintendo off? It's not a stretch to say, yeah, they might've caught wind about Nintendo dabbling in this kind of interface. The thing about excluding vibration though is false -- it's not nonsense. Sony does not want to pay for vibration. Period.
