If anyone still cares about 'near' on Vita: Looks like it's not totally dead.

In the old version, it'll tell you where you checked in and clicking on the location name will show you a map

Now, you can still check in, but all the locations will just be called "Location"

And you won't get a map of where.

So, basically: 'near' is still alive and you can still earn game goods from strangers...but now you just don't know where you checked in (which will especially be odd if you're like me and set 'near' to "obtain location automatically at regular intervals"...)
I had no idea about that map stuff lol

Playing Diablo 3 at 60fps on Vita is pretty awesome :) Might finally finish this game now.

For games going forward I could see that happen, but probably not retroactively on games already released. But the re-mapped function of buttons works on all games.
Thanks. Button remapping is such an awesome feature, can't wait to try it.

Not sure I'm a fan of the Store being part of the main scroll menu thing, especially since it's icon doesn't match everything else :/

Extremely happy about the suspend feature though!

Played Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds with the x-button as confirmation.

Ne@r seems pretty much the same to me. Still collect Game Goods, view chart of stuff popular in your area, etc.

dunno who those inverted colour and zoom-in options are for
I can finally play Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment without being driven insane, now.

So is there any way to turn off the automatic screenshots when you get a trophy? I tried searching through all the settings but I couldn't seem to find it.

Seems like one of Sony's best updates yet. I wonder what major features will come next.
Also suspend mode was on by default for me.

Here is a list of some of the most requested features:
DLNA Support
PS1/PS2 Classic compatibility
PSN ID Change
Native Twitch App
Folders/ Game Organization for easier browsing
Local media player/Media support via HDD(Video, pics, music)
MP4/other media support via USB
Save games to External HDD
Gift games to friends
PSN store Wishlist
Organize download list/search option
Friend online/offline notification
Hide yourself online/appear offline
Bluetooth support
Videochat (coming with OoVoo)
Custom backgrounds
Favorite friends or organize friends list
PNG screenshots
Trophy Auto sync
Prioritize Downloads
Display total time spent playing a game
DS4 compatibility for PS Vita remote play

Feel free to add some other features I might have missed.
All this, plus custom backround music for OS. Don't need to hear that theme music all the time

My internet at home is down so I can't update. Anyone found what the party streamlining is? Personally hoping private party is ticked by default or there's an option to have it work that way.

SharePlay? This update enabled 60fps streaming.

Is it possible it could be enabled or disabled by default in different countries depending on the rules regarding power consumption in standby etc...?

Weird that suspend/resume didn't come on by default, it was on for me. Everything is working nicely, no bugs or glitches just yet.

Only thing I don't like is Tue store being apart of the main tiles, as if that wasnt cluttered already. My next most requested feature is some customization for the ui, give me folders!

Cheers, I was going to hit the hay but will install this first. I better stock up on a few hard drives this weekend and do an upgrade and restore. Thankfully I don't have too many large digital titles installed.

Is it normal that Ps4 does "Rebuild Database" after this patch? Didn't take long but I think it haven't done that before for me.. Could remember wrong.
Seems to work great, you can even change the text shadow in Themes.

this is a dumb and they should have just removed the entire App or retooled it.

whats the point of having the "Location" text now when you have no idea where you are?

Given the amount of new stuff they added and adjusted some existing things a rebuild of the database should be considered normal.

IIRC for Sony FWs that message is usually seen as a good thing (you can manually force one as a method of troubleshooting the PS4/PS3 if the something is wrong with the OS)

Make a playlist, Start it?
You can't put music on your console yet via USB can you? I don't use music services or what have you. And i'd like it to be passive as in every time i turn it on or go to the OS

For remote play users with great internet: are you having a better connection directly connecting to your PS4 or using your internet Wifi? I haven't really experimented but I'm curious

Maybe DS4 pairing is not possible but I wish that you could at least use the Vita just as a PS4 mirroring screen :(

I found it very hit and miss, sometimes it did sometimes it didn't, maybe they can force it to with certain updates? I imagine the moving of the ps store icon might of forced it to.
My vita also rebuilt some stuff apparently afterwards (without messing my icon order up, which was nice of it!)

So I'm guessing we have no bricked PS4's yet huh?

I usually let Gaf act as a guinea pig of sorts (even with the recent Yukimura beta testing) before a major update but I want to download now.

They've hidden the Turn Off Ps4 option behind one extra screen when you hold down the PS button now.

I don't use rest mode so not sure why they couldn't have just left it on there.
