PS4 playable at New York Comic Con? (Impressions)

As y'all know New York Comic Con is going on this weekend. A poster named "Willstyles" on another forum I regularly post on said he was able to get his hands on the PS4 & play some games.

Since no one has created a thread on GAF to give PS4 impression at NYCC, I thought I'd grab some of his quotes & create a thread:

First off, watchdogs is so meh...GTA done shitted on it and set it on fire.

My first impression. Though it was only like 20 mins the controller was really on point. I felt like xbox and ps3 had a baby. My only problem is the back sensor, besides that it was cool. Knack is meh, killzone was

and they just showed us drive club and it looked like current Gran turismo. I wanted to take pics and videos but it was private room in NY comic con. I was asked questions about ps3 launch, current gen games etc.

Once I told them I had pre-order the ps4 and paid for it in full and was a member of us.playstation forums since 03, they had to let me in

I dont know if microsoft had the xboxone, cause that sony shyt was hush hush, I mean like I would have never noticed if they didnt randomly pick me out of the intel gamer event. I did get a 20 playstation plus card though

should be in the mail soon.

oh yeah, strider is a most copp, i played it for a like a good 5 mins. It was a open booth for it at capcom

That Strider game looks amazing

it was hot man, the controls and the gameplay are perfect.

The combo systems reminds me of strider from MvsC, I just it had the air joggle

I don't want to hear that Watch Dogs is meh. That was the PS4 bundle I had to pre-order to get one at launch.

compared to GTA5...it had a spark, now its just garbage

I feel sorry for "Watch Dogs". It has terrible timing for it's releases. Where did play the PS4 at? NYCC?

Killzone shadow is dope, my only issue is its too straight forward and the lone wolf mechanic makes it feels like halo.

How many players were in the matches you tried?

Interesting... I was there for all 4 days and I scoured all the game pubs for hands-on demos and none had PS4s set up. Ubisoft had a closed theater for Watch_Dogs with prerecorded gameplay. Sony and Microsoft weren't there. Nintendo, along with Capcom and Bamco were the only ones that had any demo units set up (no Xbones/PS4s though).

There were no PS4s. Strider was being played on PS3s and 360s. No next gen consoles were there, that's why there is no thread about it. I looked around and asked and there was nothing there.

I played some games at Pax Prime already Resogun definitely looks fantastic and it's free with PLUS so I can just play that.

I predicted Watch Dogs was going to be shit last year. Ubisoft loves making flashy first impressions to get the hype train going but really there is no substance. The gameplay they showed at E3 looked boring frankly and it looks like another oversimplified game with lots of handholding so casuals can complete it with ease. Also there is no way it will have the level of details and amount of content as GTA V so expect a barren world. They should have put all of their energy into making Assasins creed IV the best it can be since at least it has its own unique niche.

My interest in the game has waned, but checked out the closed door video presentation (because didn't really know what to expect been to some before that was live game play)

And had an introduction video.. and thought was funny because the director was talking about how this was different from other games.. and how in other games you follow the yellow dots because it told you what happened next, but not in Watch_Dogs

So they start the gameplay demo.. and first thing they show.. is a yellow marker telling you where to go for your next mission....

Also, and could have been the computer, but lag and freezing during the video presentation, which I thought was odd
