Kinda feels like the best you can hope for right now. :/

Especially with a rather lame Japanese Launch. What's wrong with you Namco you always put a Ridge Racer out for every launch, but this time you surrendered that right of first racer to EA!

Not sure what to make of this.

Very good numbers considering the buzz we got the first day. It just goes to show that we shouldn't be so quick to jump to conclusions. Especially when the product had been out for only 24 hours.

That is pretty darn good actually. Pretty close to the Wii figure. Much better than the PS3 launch for sure. The 7 day number should probably go over 500,000. I wonder how many units they shipped as that could go a long way to determining final figures.

Nothing will beat the glorious PS2 era. Sales aren't bad considering hype didn't seem that big there. Certainly not on the level of PS3 and XB360 so that's good.

If the rumors of 350k shipped.

That's a pretty good number.

launch numbers isn't the measure of anything. first-year sales are, and i bet it'd be huge. every now and again we get the "consoles are dying" or "japanese gaming abandons consoles" or some other bullcrap.

Good number

Its also a uneventful number, not low enough to proclaim the death of the console industry in Japan, but not high enough to proclaim it to be "saved".

Of course such statements can only really be made after a while, they sold 322k units on Yakuza and hype alone, in a non holiday season. If you view it that way, then its kinda impressive

That seems better than some expected. Hopefully it won't crater into oblivion post launch. I don't want want consoles to completely die in Japan.
