yep, I don’t know why people are acting like Sony won’t be doing anything else before the Pro launches in ~2 monthsPreorders go live during TGS good chance we see more announced games from Sony.

$700 + no disc drive + no included $2 stand reeks of finance monkey involvement.
Eh, IQ on a 4k BR on the PS5 looks good enough to me. I care more about my physical media collection and the ability to sell games i end up hating. If you care at all about IQ on 4K BR you should want it for DV alone.
And yet this PC won't be able to play GTA6 until 16 months after the PS5 Pro, Sony don't really need "advantages" when this is the only place to play GTA6 at 60fps for 16 months after release
The target audience for this console don't care about a disc drive.
It wouldn't even be so bad if not for that fact that all they have to show off this hardware with is a bunch of cross-gen games that also run competently on 2013 hardware.
Insane levels of incompetence on display.
I think most people haven't realized that what Sony just did...

Bloodborne @ 60fps+
Cerny did his job this gen, and he did it very well.
However, everyone else surrounding him at Sony are trying their best to undermine his work.
Don't be surprised if he bounces before the end of this gen.
lmao
Here we go with those bad takes just to defend Sony.

On pc its very cpu heavy, and pr0 has same cpu as base ps5 just with tiny overclock, maybe we could hope for 40fps mode if that.
I am not defending sony, its common sense. They have the data and they know people who spend a certain range in the ps store are mainly buying games digitally.
People who spend a lot of money want convenience and buying/using disc isn't convenient.
Not yet. I doubt it will sell out, unless they're under stocking it because they know the market will not react positively. Is it up for pre order? Like to see how fast it sells out, if at allm
Dude this is a premium product that isn't targeting the main stream audience. Its not the same thing as the base model. Plus you can buy the disc drive as an add on.You must have missed a lot of sales thread dude. The disc version sell a lot more than the digital only version. In every fucking metric. It's not even debatable.
'They have the data'. They don't have shit.

Sorry if this has been asked, does it come with the vertical stand?

A lot of people have already bought the extra storage tho.1TB (825 GB usable) is waaaayyyy too small in 2024 with most games 100GB+
Tough pill to swallow without a system seller title.
Just saw, September 26. I'm actually on the fence a out it because I want a PS5 in time for GTA6 and want the best experience at launch. That is going to be on the proNot yet. I doubt it will sell out, unless they're under stocking it because they know the market will not react positively.
Your thoughts on the Series X 2tb edition?lmao

I don’t know what the fuck Sony is thinking making digital only and you fucking pay extra for disc drive…..WTF!?You even read what you post?
A premium product without even a metal base to put in vertical mode. A premium product without disc drive. A premium product without a new software that take 100% use of the capability.
I'll be surprise if even come with a HDMI cable.
What exactly is the target audience again? Because all I can discern is that this is made for people who are willing to pay huge sums for "upgrades" that are completely arbitrary and limited, with some features even cut. This is nothing but a maneuver to boost stockholder esteem. This has no actual purpose for us. I'm going to be sad when this launches and mindless consumers buy this in the millions simply because it has the "Pro" tag on it, not even knowing what it is they're buying that's so Pro. This console generation has been a long joke. The target audience for this console don't care about a disc drive.

Yea me too. There is fuck all on it that I can't already play somewhere else. I want this for GTA6 and DS2. I'd be playing PS4 games and watching films on it. It's so hard to justify that price, I think I will just tank the pain.Just saw, September 26. I'm actually on the fence a out it because I want a PS5 in time for GTA6 and want the best experience at launch. That is going to be on the pro

Don't you guys see the graphical difference?
Of course this is a test run. If this thing sells well, expect the PS6 to be 599 without a disc drive.I also believe Sony are testing the waters with this price point…..
We could always get a second.Don't you guys have jobs?
I just bought some blu-rays again since streaming is getting worse by the day, and my PS5 is my only blu-ray player. So the real price of the PS5P for me is $780 + tax.
Maybe $300 resale value on the PS5 Disc? After taxes and fees it's a >$500 upgrade. Tough pill to swallow without a system seller title.
Especially you have a game like FFVII Rebirth that take 145 GB and even PS4 game like Monster Hunter World + Iceborne has big file size let alone Monster Hunter Wild + its expansion. That 2TB SSD will not survive with this bunch of games patches with ultra hd textures.
