I went ahead and bought the offline T5: DR last night so I could get the online patch and save some money. Uncharted looks awesome, I can't wait for the demo.

It stood so in plain text on my system. It's updating now. I don't know if it goes extremely slow or something is wrong since it's been at 0% for some minutes now. But my router sees activity.

When it gets finished if it ever gets finished I can take a shot with my digicam.

Edit: Wohoo! Now it's at 1%

Dunno what the specific reasoning is, but I believe the JP store has done this with other demos before. I guess they're trying to drum up more interest in the demos by making them a 'limited time!!' kind of item.

For some reason, the Japanese have something against having a demo up for a game already out. They did it with Folklore, IIRC, and they're doing the same thing with GT5 Prologue.

@Steroyd: They added new font options so that might have something to do with the font options. Whatever they did, it looks a lot clearer now and I like it.

FW2.0 seems to be all about usability and customization. Not a lot of new features but a lot of neat updates that make the XMB experience better.

I don't know about the Uncharted demo for Europe. That's why it's not there. It doesn't mean it's not coming for sure. On average, the demos come out about two weeks from release so that means Europeans might have to wait if they don't have a US account.

We did get the Pro Evo demo last week.
5 weeks after Xbox 360 and PC and 1 week after the game launched

So my PS3 has open NAT, yet all of a sudden I can't download the new update. I get through to the downloading screen, and it hangs at 0%.

Anyone got any idea? Can I update to Firmware 2.0 through a downloadable file?

I imported my PS3, I'm currently in Australia and I am pretty sure this PS3 came from asia, as the browsers homepage is asia.playstation.com

Anyone got any ideas?

about 4 minutes for me. That was awesomely fast. The fastest firmware update ever in any system for me, to be precise :lol

Also, apparently Lair has been delayed a couple of weeks, according to Eurogamer. Some manufacturing problem or something. They should just delay it for good :p

I did shift the months around but I'm trying to keep the "coming soon" section mostly territory-agnostic by only putting a month. Plus, we're talking about the Delaystation 3. ;)

i updated this morning and it took about 5 mins max. Maybe to many users are updating right now. Does anyone know how big the update is? I would like to know how fast my connection was this morning :) It almost take longer to install then to download (I have a 6 mbit connection)

I should've updated this morning then. Either something is crazy on my side or the sony servers are jumped by people who want to update :(

Edit: Going to try and restart the router.
