This right here is basically a list of games I want on Switch. Not port begging! Just saying that it's a shame I won't buy any of these, because I assume they'll come to Switch, and I'd rather play it there.

Guess it is not cross buy which would have been cool.

It is.

Lil harder to bite on that for $18 than SOMA for $6, imo. Niche games I'm experimenting with gotta be under 10.

The Talos Principle is a great first person puzzle game. Think Portal with a completely different style of puzzles and a more philosophical tone than Portal's humor. Great game.

Which of these will appear later on PS+ for free though

Who cares? If a game is worth its price to you, get it. So what if it's cheaper/free later? That's true of everything. If you wait another 2 years, sure, you can get all of these cheaper. But where is the fun in that?

What other games is this similar to?
Same questions for Teslagrad and Salt & Sanctuary...
Please fill me in peeps!

Darkest Dungeon - you have a 'disposable' crew of adventurers and go dungeon crawling. Some will die, you replace them. They can go crazy and have other issues. Very cool game.

I haven't played Salt & Sanctuary yet though it's high on my want list. 2d Souls game?

I played a few levels of Teslagrad and thought it well done, but it wasn't for me. Others love it.

Are the controls for Darkest Dungeon manageable? Heard it was real horrible but I really like it on the go..

Yes? Don't know who said it was horrible. Some don't like it because it can be difficult and you'll lose adventurers...

Really want to wait for the Vita version of Cosmic Star Heroine. Unless the PS4 version is crossbuy?

It's cross-buy.

To give an update on the Vita version, I'm pretty sure that you could play through the entire game on Vita right now HOWEVER you would have to save/quit a lot since right now, playing it for too long eventually results in the system running out of memory. Not sure if this is due to a memory leak or memory defragmenting but in any case, I need to fix this before we put it up.

I think the issues with Darkest Dungeon on console are less about the amount of buttons available and more about it just being poorly optimized to work without a mouse, so for me PS4 is almost as bad as Vita. It's manageable though, you get used to it after a couple of hours and it's only an issue in the hub, not inside dungeons or during combat.

Darkest Dungeon is a turn based dungeon crawling RPG with rogue lite elements, by the way. It has a lovecraftian style that really addd to it and is related to some mechanics too, think Etrian Odyssey but with a 2D side scrolling perspective and Bloodborne-like aesthetic. Procedurally generated dungeons and permadeath included, of course... It's a very challenging game, but super engrossing if you're into the genre.

Thanks for clearing that up.

I've been waiting patiently for Salt and Sanctuary and now it's finally the day. Apparently Cosmic Star Hero and Inside are pretty good too. So I'll at least be buying those three games.

Pretty good sale for me.

EDIT: Damn, and Darkest Dungeon too.

Thanks for the update. Was really hoping to play this on Vita, but considering I almost never quit games due to godly Suspend/Resume I'd say that's definitely something important to fix yeah.

Wait...SuperHot is coming to PS4 on Tuesday?!?! Why am I only hearing about this now...and it's on sale? Has anyone tried it with a controller? I feel like I've been waiting forever for this.

EDIT: Also, people should play the Late Shift. Really great couch "co-op" experience. I'm in for Salt and Sanctuary as well at that price.

The controls on vita are not good but didn't have any problem with the ps4 version. Game is great and totally worth 10 bucks!

The controls are the same except for r3 and l3 buttons right?

I actually prefer playing on Vita. Once you wrap you head around the controls they become second nature, but there is a learning curve.

Sadly, the devs opted to not implement touch controls. This is one of those mouse and keyboard games that would be extremely intuitive with touch controls.

That said, touch controls require additional development resources and bug testing so it's understandable that they didn't develop it just for Vita.

Word to the wise: Darkest Dungeon is very likeky coming to tablets soon so consider that as the touch controls are going to be so much better than physical controls.

did all the issues with the snk ports get fixed? i know last blade was missing some graphical effects. and do they work with ps3 sticks?

Well congratulations! You got yourself caught!
How so? What is this game, exactly?

Bought it over E3 during a different sale, but haven't played it yet. Supposedly a solid point n click graphic adventure(more dialogue than puzzles I think?) set in a Blade-Runner esque sci-fi futurescape. Lots of praise is all I have seen.

The Trump stuff amounts to the devs speaking out against Trump right after the election on Twitter and the racists got triggered.

I can personally that the following games are all fantastic, especially for the price:

Darkest Dungeon
Galak-Z – $7.99, $4.99
Garou: Mark of the Wolves – $7.49, $5.99
Inside – $11.99, $9.99
Not a Hero – $5.84, $4.54
Skullgirls 2nd Encore – $9.99, $6.24
SOMA – $8.99, $5.9999
The Last Blade 2 – $5.99, $4.49

There are more great games in the sale, I just haven't played them myself.
Is Darkest Dungeon any good? Thinking about picking it up.

Inside at 10 and witness at 16, are they good pickups?

Yes, Yes, Yes.

Inside and DD are in my top 10 from last year and my friend would not shut up about how good The Witness was.

Yes, they got fixed and yes, they work with PS3 sticks.

The Vita versions are slightly superior due to the video display being part of the hardware. They are cross-buy.

I was going to buy Hellblade on Steam because in Canada it's $32.99, instead of the $40 price on PSN. Should I just buy it on PC anyway? This PSN pre-order sale should even out the price difference.

How much of a Metroidvania is Salt & Sanctuary? I know it's also a lot like Dark Souls, but I'm also I'm looking for more of a SoTN and Shantae and The Pirate's Curse and less of a Strider(PS4) and Metroid.
I guess a giant and varied map, cool abilities and maybe lots of different weapons.

If Salt and Sanctuary is a cross buy, then I'm definitely picking that up.

says it right there on the store page.

It's sale price on PS4, but full price on Vita which is terrible.

None, it's 2D Dark Souls.

I have Salt and Sanctuary already and it shows up for me as free in the store as opposed to purchased which is how every other game I have on this list comes up. Anyone know why?

Darn it, I bought the Amnesia Collection last month for $1.50 more than this price. I might get Dear Esther this time around. I'm still thinking about The Witness, but I am not great at puzzle games. The Talos Principle got really frustrating towards the end.
