Back in May, Aquaplus teased a completely brand-new title that would release this winter for the PSP, with character designs from all of their artists:

And so finally that game has been revealed, a new full-length Dungeon RPG:

Official Site
Title: Dungeon Travelers 2: Ouritsu Toshokan to Mamono no Fuuin
Platform: Playstation Portable
Developer: Aquaplus
Release date: Winter 2012
Genre: RPG|Fantasy Dungeon

A brand-new Dungeon Travelers, only this time it's not a spin-off of To Heart2, but rather a completely stand-alone game that is set in the same universe, with a stand-alone story and original cast of characters. The scenario writer is Yoda Bou, the main writer of the infamous Criminal Girls, quest scenario writer for 7th Dragon 2020, and a couple of BL games.

I enjoyed the first one greatly and as a "wizardry"-ish title it was actually pretty good. So am looking forward to the second and hope it keeps the same level of quality as the first / improves on it.

As the second one now doesn't have to worry about pandering to the TH2 fanbase, coupled with a decent writer, it should be interesting to see how it turns out in quality.

Wow, those screens. That's some of the most risque stuff, for a PSP game, I've ever seen. They're really pushing the limits on this one.

Although most of you guys probably will never play it or played the first game, I'm fairly interested in this because the first one was actually a decent dungeon RPG.

No. seriously it was decent.

I loves me some dungeon RPGs, but I don't see a single dungeon in those screenshots.

After just getting Aquapazza recently, I was interested in seeing how this future Dungeon Travlers game would turn out, expecially since Sasara was inspired by the first game... but wow at those screens, lol.

Oh well, looks like chances of a int'l release are even slimmer now! (-_-;) What is this, one of those Dragon Knight / Knights of Xentar PC games you'd see in the Diehard Gamefan ads in mags from the 90s?

Vita has no games.

but it has tons of hentai
This is PSP game.

I would LOVE vita version however. I couldn't read shit on PSP screen. DAT LOW RES.

Uh, I'm pretty sure this thread went way past NSFW into the boundaries of insta-ban. Good god, icecream, think about what you post.

And as for you, Japan, stick to Elminage.
Believe it or not I enjoyed first one better than Elminage. Not Wizardry Bushin zero level, but nevertheless fun game.

Its a bit less jarring than Elminage from a game design stand point. As you dont need to be a hardcore Wizardry player to enjoy it. Though at the same time it still provides a decent challenge with good gameplay design overall.

The question is if people are willing to look past the obvious fan service type of art and pay attention to the actual game mechanics. Its what I did since truthfully dont know much about the To Heart2 series and just bought it due to being a wizardry type of title. Turned out to be pretty enjoyable.

I'm in dire need of a localized Dungeon Crawler game, even if it is dungeon crawler porn. Even if it is good, doubt it will get localized. Too risque for NA pubs to pick it up.

I need me some more Etrian's Odyssey.... Why do they take so long to put them out. :(

This garbage makes dungeon crawlers look bad. Even if it was the best game ever, if I wanted crap like this in my RPGs, I'd go play Idea Factory games.

You mean Compile Heart right? Since IF usually makes all of the visual novel type of games for chicks.

Pretty risque for a consumer release. Wonder if it'll see an 18+ PC port.
The original was about on the same level with the fan service type of art. So am sure this will come out no problem. I mean hell Criminal Girls got published and released so.

Good to know. Then yes, Compile Heart.

I actually like IF's Otome games.
Yeah Compile Heart games are usually garbage on the gameplay side. All they have going for them is the voice work, character design and BOOBIES LOL. Basically. Its why I stopped buying their stuff a while back. Its a damned shame considering the amount of work they put into the whole character / voice work side into gameplay they would have decent titles.

Its too bad that GUST has fallen back to mainly the Atlier series since their titles like Mana Khemia I actually really enjoyed.

Those games seem to sell pretty well judging by the sheer number of them on the PSP these days. Which is interesting to see which means there is a large userbase of female gamers on the system that has been growing seeing the trend of the visual novels for females has increased greatly. I would have thought it would be more the DS / 3DS instead, but apparently not.
