Looks cool, the online connection should be solid as a rock to not suffer lags and other barf inducing glitches, right?
Don't know if that game is compatible to my shitty connection ;(

Never used a VR headset, but what happens when you have a laggy online connection? Couldn't some people get kind of dizzy, just like with a bad framerate?
Players teleporting around the map I don't feel would give you motion sickness, though hopefully their player precition model will be good, which it probably will be considering that a lot of the player movements in this game seem to be more deliberate and have momentum to them. The big bads of motion sickness are slow and/or inaccurate head tracking, image persistence, poor or unlocked framerates, screen tearing, etc.

Fuck I can't wait. The controls look awesome, game play is unique, visuals are on point and from what I can tell based on impression, the 'presence' is there.

Does this game have 3d positional audio? Do all PSVR games have that?

Can't wait.

Is DC VR happening? You already played it? How was it? Need some details please.
Yeah there are not enough impressions of DCVR online. Spill it!

I believe the breakout box helps with 3D audio and reprojection.

there was a thread about DC VR on GAF if you search.

Baked lighting and no AI certainly help, but this looks far better graphically than I was expecting for any PSVR game.
It's usually single player modes that always looks noticeably better in every game - despite them having AI. That a multiplayer VR game can look this good on PS4, should only mean that we should get even better looking single player stuff.

I was one of the first at PSX to play this, and got the sweet jersey they were handing out.

Game was really really cool, despite the fact that my unit was having some drift issues. Definitely excited about this and can't wait to PSVR down the road.

First moment of getting in the mech, and looking down at my own body was one of the most "WOW" moments I've had in gaming in a long time.

When you start a match, you are launched out of cylinder and shot 100 or so feet in the air. I was totally convinced I was that high up, and was legitimately scared lol.

It legitimately made my stomach drop the first time it happened. The sensation of feeling like you are flying 100 ft in the air was crazy convincing

The game looks fun, hopefully PSVR isn't too expensive, so I can get it on the same day. Though what really caught my eye in this Video was that Liam was in it :)

Looks like this is the kind of game that VR will change for people like me who struggle with depth/location perception in FPS.

Also looks like a damn cool game.

I think this game looks pretty boring, what about it looks fun to you guys? Or what is fun about it for those that played it already? I feel like I'm missing something :/

I think it's different when you feel like you're strapped to a mech jumping 10 meters off the ground, while raining bullets on other mechs. Its the experience I guess that makes it awesome

VR seems like one of those things you need to actually try to get a sense of how cool it is. Like watching the video I was like ok looks fine to me, but once I have a headset on and am playing I'll probably piss myself.

i keep picturing how you'd play that with a bunch of buddies around do you all have to bring your own headsets or is it pure multiplayer, i dunno.

Nearly everything about it sounds fun to me lol. I like the thought of feeling like you're in the cockpit of the mech, and being able to see the weapons firing around you.

I like the concept of purpose built mechs, one's for speed, defense, offence, etc etc. I would guess that they'd feel very different with the sense of presence that VR can induce.

I really like that melee thrust they're showing off. I imagine when you're in that space, it feels amazing.

The environment looks large, which is a great representation of scale, and I like that the world is vibrant.

The sport settings gives the players a reason for engaging other than just "kill that dude", which is something that's typically a turn off for me in regular team deathmatch modes.

Not into the genre, but this will probably be the first VR game I ever play. Exciting times ahead!

I imaging you have to do the same as of a bunch of buddies were around to play halo5. Tell them all to bring a console and a copy of the game so you can play online...saves having to carry a TV each though i guess.

Ace Combat is what has me buying a PSVR day one.
Even though my framerate was garbage and the screen door effect made visibility terrible, to this day one of the biggest rushes I've had in vr came from taking off in a MiG in this fully navigable earth sim called Outerra. The sense of speed is unreal. Can't imagine what a AAA fighter jet game running at 120 fps reprojected would feel like. Probably awesome lol.

GT Sport and Driveclub alone will help sell VR to the masses, driving game fans from these games are fanatics that will buy everything to enhance their EXP.

Rigs also looks really cool and something that everyone can enjoy, this game will be bundled with PSVR I imagine.

You haven't try it. That's probably what you're missing.
It could be, I think I understand the concept of the controls (left stick to run, right stick to turn, look around for aiming?) and I'm imagining playing it in VR (I have a GearVR so I kind of know what it'll be like) but I'm still not really feeling anything one way or the other towards the game.

It might be the whole sports thing, as I'm not big on competition stuff and the only sport/esport thing I like is Rocket League.

I'll be happy to give it a go if there's some kind of 1 map demo released when PSVR comes out

This game is what sold me on VR. Had a bunch of fun playing the game.

Also got to experience Capcom's The Kitchen VR Demo. That's definitely an experience I don't want to relive.

RIGS is one of the games I'm most excited about trying in VR. Heard nothing but great things about it and Guerrilla Cambridge is a talented studio.

It looked really rough graphically, but understandably I'll need to play it to get the full effect, so whilst this video dampened my hype a little I still can't wait to try it out for realsies.

It sure was. It felt like I was playing cyber paint-ball, and my arena included bunch of 10 story buildings you could jump to.

Loved the feeling of using melee to deny center goal scorer. Aiming with head, and movement with dualshock worked remarkably well too.

Since the sense of scale was portrayed so well, you actually felt like a human inside a 12 ft tall mech. Was beyond cool.

I'm so happy that RIGS was my first experience with PSVR. Most of the demos that I tried afterwards were honestly pretty lame, such as soccer head-but and dolphin school. REZ of course was an exception as well. That game was AWESOME in VR!

I'm totally sold. LETZ DO THIS!

They had it at PSX. Instead of the Kitchen demo (which had an hour long queue) I tried it out first (and RIGS later in the day). Was not as pristine a presentation as regular Driveclub and only used gamepad, but it still looked phenomenal especially for a VR title and the sense of speed / fear of crashing caused me to momentarily freak out when I looked behind me.

Out of curiosity can you recall if the framerate seemed like 60, or higher?

Doesn't look exciting to me. I guess its something you have to play to feel it.
This is my opinion on RIGS. The VR aspect of the experience aside, this game just looks uninteresting. It's basically just a simple mech shooter where you can jump threw hoops to score..

Probably any game could seem awesome when it's your first VR experience.

This reminds me so much of IGPX. I really hope they have a straight up racing mode.
