Toukiden is closer to Monster Hunter generally, than God Eater is.
It depends on what you like style wise too.
The most unique feature about the game would be the bullet crafting system, which allows you to create various shot types to use with your gun mode. Though will take a bit of advancing in the story and reading faqs to fully understand how to make the best use of it.
Older not great quality footage but gives you an idea of what can be made with the system. Though some things might have changed since this is GE:B footage and not GE:2
Very different. Toukiden is much more like Monster Hunter for its mechanics, whereas God Eater takes more cues from something like Kingdom Hearts, so while the combat isn't deep, there's a much stronger emphasis on mobility and being able to switch from melee to ranged at will.
I guess you could be right. SAO seemed to be quite successful so maybe they'll the the Vita more seriously now. It shouldn't really be that much more work to put a Vita version out, at least digitally.
Still can't get excited about it after knowing that they re-used tracks from GEBurst but it was just a matter of time.
Will bother only if the Vita version is physical, but I'm not that worried about it, seeing what they've been doing lately it should be.
