The scripted scenes looked great but the actual boss fight was down right terrible. Hack hack slash, hack hack slash, block hack hack slash until the meter drops. That looked really boring. But damn do they make scripted (dunno what else to call it) scenes so fluid

Do you guys think this will receive DLC later on?

I was going to wait around six months to buy it with all the added shit for the same price or less, but saw the leak and damn I'm so freaking pumped I don't know I will have the strength to hold myself.

Skill.

When I see that in a GOW game, it's usually a low-skill player that plays ALL games like that or low difficultly that will allow that sort of stuff. But if it's a skilled GOW player on a high difficulty it just looks awesome and feels great.

Looking at the video I'm assuming it's the PS4 version.
As far as the game goes, SMS are legit tip tier and rarely fail, so I expect it to be around the 88-94 Meta.

I’m not watching any of this if doesn’t spoil the story, if it’s cool fight I want experience it myself when I have the game.

A lot of people are so spoiled that they don't even remember now that spoilers ruin the experience for them. These same people will watch it all out of context, in advance, without playing it. And then a few weeks later will be in every thread talking about how all games suck in 2022 and nothings as good as when they were kids.

I don’t know why they do this to themselves, there is huge difference between playing the game yourself and just simply watching it.

Thanks for the spoiler in title... 👌
Sad Its Over GIF by Star Wars

(GOW is still in my backlog)
Seriously. Is there no policy for spoilers in thread titles? Pretty fucked up. May have to avoid this site for a while.

I forget this sometimes. I was getting underwhelmed watching gameplay with the axe.

I'm not avoiding spoilers, to be fair I'm not a god of war fan. So far I know it's a new god of war on PS5 and the guy is Kratos.
same. i'm also watching. seems like a few tiers below elden ring to be honest. will get this game at the swap meet in 10 years for 50 pesos.

i don't see what the hype is all about with this game. doesn't look too impressive or is this development footage?
I mean it looks good but we've already seen roughly this level of visuals on PS4 so for me also the wow factor is largely gone. Only so many times you can be wowed by the same visuals until you start to want more. Only natural.

I suppose the positive side is that, given that God of War (and other equally good looking games) set the graphical bar for last gen, the fact that these visuals are now sort of the baseline is a good sign of things to come in another 2 years perhaps?

But hey who am I kidding. I'm not buying a PS5 for scalper prices and it seems like supply will never improve in Japan (because all the inventory is being sent to the US and Europe where the real console wars are happening) so I'm stuck being a grumpy old codger on this forum instead of actually getting into next gen myself.

And also dumb lines like:

After the fight where Thor leaves and Kratos gets up, those guards in the background (I think they're soldiers) said something stupid like... "Wow, that was some fight"
Dude did you even play the first game or you are here to bullshit ? The "guards" you talk about are the smith brothers. The guys who made your axe, Thor hammer etc.

YT has lots of leaks. I just watched it on a video that says only 65 views.

Small spoilers

Weird how they make a giant fat and muscular THOR warp around at light speed. You'd think they'd make him more of a bull charging hulk. Also, the dialogue is cringeworthy. Nothing like two behemoths clashing and representing ancient mythology and they are saying "Fucking" and "dumbass" at each other.
Yes at the time of a fight between two adversaries the participants were required to be silent or address their opponent eloquently because they would be written in mythology. Go away..

I mean… if you’d said 23 million I’d be shocked. This 2.3 alone doesn’t warrant the title or hype, was to be expected.

It's still going to be showered in 10 out of 10s it will take 3 to 6 months before people start to really question the dialogue, if its bad. Some reviewers may bring it up though.

Dude i'm not gonna click any spoiler, minor or big, just tell me yes or no, it is a gameplay question, not a story one.

do not tempt fate do not contrain Wonder Woman's thighs do not do not
if you think this is bad you should see the last fight with Odin lol
This is fake right?

This isnt actually the dialogue of the final fight...is it?

I hate being a bandwagoner but honestly the dialogue is alot worse than I expected.
Who ever is currently doing the VA clearly felt nothing for the script and is just here for the paycheck.

Im going to guess none of the reviewers are going to have any issue with the weak writing and voice acting in this game.
10 out of 10 greatest game of all time.

You have to click on some spoilers if you want the answer lol
No i don't because my answer was super simple and gameplay related.

Does thor has more than 3 moves? Is he more challenging than baldur bitch?

Knowing that he has a long life bar tells me absolutely nothing, most boss in most games have long life bars.

people wonder why is AAA gaming dying while they praise a game like this , boss fights with poor mechanics filled with cinematics and quicktime events , poor level design , braindead puzzles

i mean seriously i dont want an epic fight between thor and kratos to be constantly interupted by useless cutscenes and dumb dialog

but hey it has emotional moments between father and son

Do you have a chip on your shoulder or something? It's a shit fight devoid of the spectacle the series is known for, both the Thor & Odin one.
What the hell are you talking about and why the fuck did you spoiled odin being a boss fight?

My question was super simple, is thor another easy fight all spectacle (the type of spectacle you had against baldur first fight) or is it more like the valkirye, so an actual boss fights with challenge and more than 3 moves to memorize?? I think it's an easy thing to answer unless you can't grasp the difference between baldur boss fight and queen valkirye boss fight.

All this shit happened with 2018 where they showed the dragon boss fight and thought it looked shit....then the game was amazing.
