I think they are impressive. Remember: R6 Vegas, for PSP, will have infraestructure multiplayer modes

Impressive looking, but that's UBI on PSP so something is most likely terribly broken. My bet is that this will be running at 10FPS or something like that. Ubi should buy Syphon Filter DM engine and use that for their games. It looks simillar if not better than this, and runs at very steady 30FPS.

A lot of PSP games run in 24bit color mode and have no dithering. AA is obviously added artificially in these screens.

There is only dithering if they're using a 16-bit colour palette (Syphon Filter, MGA1). 24bit games (Daxter, Tekken) have no noticable dithering when in motion.

I'm more concerned with how it controls; personally I still hated Syphon Filter controls compared to dual analog, so it just seems like a waste. They should just go 3rd person (ala RE4 or MGS). If they need to go first person then they should do it like Metroid Prime.

Also, Skip Pfister said he played it on a recent 1UP Yours Episode... He did NOT seem enthusiastic (I think he said it was 'unfortunate he had to play it'.)

Game looks pretty good for a handheld. Still gonna suck since the PSP only has one analog stick.

Hmm, I loved the Syphon Filter controls and though they were really easy to use. I guess it boils down to personal preference then.

You act like PSP has no games that has online mode and voice chat

ok so there's only 1 or 2 games that does it, but it's done pretty damn well

If people would spend the time they do whining about the PSP not having a 2nd analog stick and actually practice (or play) a game with controls like Syphon Filter, they would find it works perfectly well once you get used to it.

A lot of people say that, but I have a feeling that they're comparing them (SF controls) with other PSP games and not dual analogs or m+kb. Should they be compared with console/PC? Some people say no, but with the PSP I think they should as it's essentially a PS2 on the go. Sony wanted to have a handheld capable of the console experience and they failed miserably on the controls... Or at least that's my take.

Either way, we'll find out when the game is released.

Surely there has to be some games left for you on the PSP. What do you own so far?

No, don't misunderstand... I"m not saying that PSP doesn't have several great games. It's just that I have no interest in downgraded console ports like this. I'll get R6 for x360, but I'm not paying twice just to have it on the go.

I think Ubisoft is making some kind of effort with this game... Although there are some ports (...Prince of persia Rival Blades....), Ubisoft has an excelent line-up for the PSP this and next year (Far Cry, Brother in Arms, Oblivion -Eurpe-, ...)

a recent EGM Live (one of those ziff casts anyway) said the game was pretty awful.

And I don't trust UBI to make a good PSP game. Incredible screenshots though.

They also thought Ultimate Ghosts N Goblins sucks

although they're probably right...Splinter Cell PSP looked amazing but apparantly it sucked

I remember Splinter Cell Essentials was quasi-debuted on the 1up show. they had the first video footage of it.

And they said "i think we all agree, its ****ing awesome". The resulting game was when i officially stopped believing in UBi on the PSP.

Ubisoft new studio in Quebec City is making the PSP version of Vegas. It's too early to say if they are really talented, but their first effort, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Critical Hour, was average at best.

Screens look good, but I am doubting the gameplay will be able to complement the graphics. I have yet to be convinced a FPS would work on PSP. Syphon Filter DM may have come close to being practical and functional... but it still wasn't enough to make me wanna play through the whole game, so I traded it in. I'd have to see some gameplay videos before I'll bother with this game.
