I didn't play Ghost, Days Gone and Miles Morales.

1 - Spider-man = Borderline masterpiece, barring some bad stealth sections and other little nitpicks, it's amazing how right Insomniac got in their first SM game: story, combat, characters, graphics, soundtrack and the best transversal ever conceived in a game. 9/10

2 - Horizon Zero Dawn = Original concept with a nice story, mind blowing visuals and extremely satisfying gameplay, the game is not perfect and could do with improvements especially in the writing department, but still one of the best games of the generation. 8.5/10

3 - Uncharted 4 + Lost Legacy = The pacing is a little off in 4, but it has very nice gameplay and amazing writing while being technically superb. Lost Legacy is pure non-stop action in the best way possible, the PS3 trilogy seems amateur stuff compared to the PS4 combo. 8/10

4/5 - Tie between TLoU 2 and God of War = Both insufferable and much longer than they had any right to be, boggles my mind the acclaim these games without a fucking sense of pacing. God of War is just a terribly boring story with extremely repetitive combat and bad level design, while TLoU 2 is pure misery porn while playing very uninteresting characters that look like fanfic compared to the first game. 5/10

I enjoyed Spider Man the most, followed by Ghost of Tsushima, then God of War.

I quit Uncharted 4 halfway through. I just lost interest. I also played TLOU 2. I loved the gameplay but didn't like the story but I had to finish it. I didn't play Horizon Zero Dawn yet. I plan to play it over the holidays to be ready for the new one. I haven't played Days Gone, either. Both are in my library.

I think my list is pretty much the opposite of the OP. TLOU 2 and God of War were amazingly great. Loved Uncharted 4 and LL as well. I think Ghost of Tsushima would be next followed by HZD and Spider-man. All great games but TLOU 2 is the best of the best overall last gen for me.

I wouldnt call days gone or GoT cinematic games. They definitely take a more loose gameplay approach. GoT in particular playing more like sekiro meets assassins creed than, say GoW where the combat and gameplay takes second stage while the story is focused and the character takes about 1/3 the screen

that said, its easily GoW for me.

They're all great games but the The Last of Us Part 2 easily stands out from the crowd for me personally.

Favourite to least Favourite in order of the games I've played from the OP list.

The Last of Us Part 2
Ghost of Tsushima
Horizon Zero dawn + The Frozen Wilds
Uncharted 4 + Lost Legacy
God of War
Spiderman + Miles Morales (mundane and repetitive)

GoW for sure, TLOU2 probably second place.

Are these games truly all cinematic though? I wouldn't really call these games cinematic...

Loved all, except for Days Gone - for some reason, I just couldn’t get into it. I’d say Horizon ZD was my fave - I’m a sucker for a red-head and machines based on dinosaurs.

Several great ones there, but God of War is the best of the lot. However, Bloodborne and Persona 5 are the best PlayStation console exclusives.

Ghost of Tsushina
Spiderman
Horizon Zero Dawn
God of War
Days Gone
Death Stranding (if it counts)
Spiderman Miles Morales
Uncharted Lost Legacy
The last of us part 2
Uncharted 4

That's how I'd rank them , have played them all

Best one is between TLoU 2 and God of War in my opinion. Both are masterpieces, but TLoU2's story was so dark... The best one for me is clearly God of War.

I voted for Uncharted 4 because it was a magical experience for me, but i totally understand why the other games are winning it.

I feel like it might not be quite right that days gone be mentioned in the same breath as these other titles :p as far as I'm concerned the best thing about that game was the gameplay teaser lol

TGO

Hype Train conductor. Works harder than it steams.
Probably Uncharted 4+Lost Legacy or TloU2
I wouldn't call any of the others cinematic
They have cinematic cutscenes but I wouldn't say cinematic, maybe GOW, but in a different way.

God of War was the best, but Spider-Man was the most fun. TLOU2 was a masterpiece, but absolutely miserable. I do not know how to turn my feelings into a numerical ranking.

1. Horizon Zero Dawn
2. Uncharted 4
3. Lost Legacy
4. Horizon Zero dawn expansion frozen wilds. (Actually, I did not like the Heal tower mechanics, I hope it won't return in Forbidden West)
5. Days Gone. (I bailed early on as I did not care for the survival aspect. Back and forth and looking for gas and supplies was grueling.
6. Ratchet and Clank but I think it was a remake of an older game.

Did not play anything else Sony. I've never been into God of War so I just did not even think to try out the new one.
Ghost of Tsushima I will give a try if it gets a PS5 remaster.
I'll give TLOU2 a try if it ever drops on PS+, I've already been spoiled completely just Neogaffing around. It was impossibru to avoid.
Spiderman sure looks fun. I need to check it out when I get a PS5.

Edit -I'm going to add Resogun to the list as the most cinematic SHMUP ever. Look at those Voxels 'Splode!

4:Spiderman
5:Horizon
6:GoT

The one missing isn't worth mentioning and doesn't deserve to be on this list.

What time is it?
Spider-Man is probably my favorite even with its' faults (repetition). Miles Morales cleaned up a bunch of those issues but is hurt by being feature in the same city (obviously). God of War was a pleasant surprise as I really didn't care for the series much before that. I'm pretty apathetic towards the rest of them. I was excited for TLOU2 but but I didn't like the character they turned Ellie into and none of the new cast members clicked with me. It also had a little too much of the Uncharted bombast for my tastes.

I havent played GOW since GOW2 on PS2, but I always enjoy watching cut scenes and crazy boss fights from that series. Out of all the big name Sony franchises, I'll always put that one #1.

GOW 3 Hades fights are still among the best ever. Followed by the scenes where Kratos rips that guys head off.

5. Ghost Of Tsushima Such a great new IP, cool characters, amazing sword play, amazing environment. My only cons where the Story was just awful and predicable and even almost campy for horrors of that event, the stealth might as well not even be in the game, its that bad, like the AI gets to be PS1 level shit of person looking 1 direction and turning to walk away like a robot suck on a set path, it feels like an afterthought and that the main focus was the sword play stuff. I can forgive this for it being a new IP.

4. Horizon Zero Dawn Easily one of my favorite new IP last gen, amazing world, characters, factions, lore ROBOT DINOS lol I loved exploring and finding all the old war junk, though not to a level of Fallout, I feel the series can get to those levels in the future. My cons might your arrow seems to be the biggest element in the game with combat and the melee feels horrible lol (like Falco entering Coronaria horrible)
ScarceBoringAlaskanhusky-size_restricted.gif

3. Spiderman My favorite new IP period...Insomniac did a masterful job with this title. Combat is flawless, from just the melee attacks, to web attacks, to grabbing enemies, to tossing objects at enemies etc, it felt great and the swinging and movement is pretty much unmatched. Without those elements, this game dies, that element was so fucking important it sounds like the only way that game was getting greenlit was if they can show that proof of concept and it feels great. The story was also great fighting all the villain's and hearing the back story thur lore exploring the world and the random crimes you stop allow you to really LARP the shit out of it and just have that random fun and really deeply puts in the narrative that you are Spiderman all the time and its not just a collective of missions you go thru, but you are actively him between those missions still. Cons, not much, I'd like to randomly go from Spiderman to Peter in real time, like if he has a normal life during the day like Persona or something and he has to literally choose from normal life to superhero lol but this is minor and maybe too much to ask out of the first Spiderman game from this team.

2. God Of War Is as perfect as you get a game. Combat, puzzles, open world design, lore, story, narrative, characters, boss fights, the fucking game is FLAWLESS! lol I went into this game dead ass expecting normal God Of War shit, he gets killed, goes to Viking hell, fights a couple of fuck boys and brings his wife back from the dead lol That shit was nothing like that and I'm glad it wasn't. The story was much deeper and the character has aged, grown and has so much more depth then we've ever see prior and the combat becoming much more complex pars well with the character aging and becoming more layered as well. All the wild God Of War shit still there like talking heads and snakes that take up the whole level having some wild ass intro lol I never expected a God Of War game with such deep puzzles with the axe or dungeons that give you meaningful items, narrative info like lore stuff etc. I expect that from Zelda and it now feels like God Of War is the IP for that vs some copy and paste tower shit that BoTW is, but I digress. I didn't expect them to switch places and got that adventure with meaning feeling more in God Of War, 2 will be most hype knowing that. Cons...none bitch the fuck lol damn near perfection.

1. The Last Of Us 2 Masterful rollercoaster of emotions like I've never felt in a video game. Let me start by saying I respect the developer for offing a main character in the fashion they did, sudden, violent, without warning, no fucks given and no speech necessary (Joel's character even saying for them to say the speech that they have seems to be nod of how fucking cliche that is). Someone coming to do you in in real life had no ode to make it fast and give you the reasons they are doing it for, they came to make you suffer, not give you some CW drama lol. I love reading the lore and about the war between WLF, FEDRA and the Fireflies and kept wondering how people can even become so savage and turn on neighbors so easily, I loved hating Abby's character and screaming "FUCK WLF" thru the first half of the game, I made them suffer every chance I got.

....then we play Abby and realize what actually happened and that this person has a justified reason for their actions. Then...you realize that thing you didn't get with WLF vs FEDRA, you now understand because you just saw the other side of the grass. The "fuck WLF" chants start have me realize the game is purposely making her mysterious, giving no good reason at the time for the murder and showing her to be the enemy to even show how that tribalism concept even starts. For all we now, if I was in WLF my ass would be chanting" fuck Jackson and fuck Joel" all I know about him is what he did to Abby's father and Mel's mentor, all we knew about Abby was she killed Joel. Twas an amazing masterpiece and I'd argue even the debates going on around who would do this or that or how someone would react and who was good and who was bad shows how deeply engaging this story was. We've never given a fuck about a story to this degree years later citing it, I expect us to likely keep talking about it even up to The Last Of Us 3.

Gameplay....amazing and I never expected it to get to MGS levels of epic. From dogs smelling you and you able to get off their tracks by going in water or running away or killing someone and their friends looking for them noticing they are gone, or even shooting someone in the throat, or blowing their head clean off their shoulders, or blowing knee caps out with a shotgun and watching the person drag themselves away from you, the gore was amazing and how an M rated game should be with such weapons. THAT is what a shotgun does to you folks, never mind LOOKING real, show what it really does to humans as we need more like Red Dead 2 and The Last Of Us 2, its not enough to look it, it must behave as such lol The exploration like hunting in old houses and buildings was also amazing and told its own little narratives, like going into a place looking for ammo, reading that it used to be bank and that someone was trying to rob it as the fall happened, killing all the clickers and finding a shotgun as your reward.....it feels most good.

Cons..none, I want more of it thats my con lol

Selfishly plays on Xbox Purr-ies X
Out of those games I only played Horizon Zero Dawn and Uncharted 4
HZD - is my favorite Sony game, in fact it is one of my favorite games from last gen - Loved it
UC4 - hated it. It's boring af plus it has a really lame story with unlikeable characters other than Sully

I’ll give you a different answer depending on the day of the week, most of them are great.

Though I gotta say U4 and HZD feel like the weakest of the bunch. Days Gone is great, but also flawed.

GoT has some jank, but it looks and feels great.

TLOU2, Spider and GoW would be my top 3.

PS4 Gen Only, best to worst:

Shadow of the Colossus (Remake) - albeit this one feels like cheating
God of War
Horizon: Zero Dawn
The Last Of Us Part II
Marvel's Spider-Man
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
Uncharted 4
inFamous: Second Son
Ghost of Tsushima
Killzone: Shadowfall
Days Gone

Don't know if it counts, but at the time when I played it, it was a sony exclusive. Detroit Become Human was the best cinematic experince I've ever played.

Interesting how divisive most of these games seem to be. I actually started playing every single one of those in OPs list, but finished only GoT and TLoU2 which already tells you a lot about how I liked them. I voted TLoU2, but had to think on it since GoT was great, too. The game I liked the least out of that list was clearly GoW. Lost me at like one hour in, rubbed me the wrong way. I thought DG and SM became boring very quick. HZD lost me mostly because of a long intro and the setting I didn't enjoy. Oh and U4 has such a bad start I couldn't even get myself to play past the introduction, I'm sure there's a better game beyond that but I don't owe any game so I just quit.

I enjoyed Days Gone the most. It had some serious flaws, but overall it was fun.
I wish the side characters were more interesting though. The story and the world had potential to be great if it weren't for these bland characters.
