I was still waiting on RDR2 to get below $20.

Guess I'll wait for this one to hit $15. Looking forward to finally trying it in 2033.
😂 Yea good luck with that. It's a quality game though, definitely worth $45-$50, esp if you've never played it. You should give it a try at that price at least

Good. RDR2 maxed out on PC looks like it came out this year; it’s absolutely stunning. It’ll be nice for current gen console owners to finally get something better than the last gen version with lower than lower settings.

Already played it to death (300+ hours). Can't see myself doing that all over again.

I hated RDR2 at first. But once you put a certain amount of hours into it, becomes much more interesting and addictive. Unfortunately with controls being so slow and clunky, 30fps on console did not help. But this is the type of game that would be a slog to do all over again. I hate R* and their bullshit. They should of patched 60fps for Series X and PS5 a long time ago at the every least.

Writing was on the wall, Rockstar just drags their feet on this kind of shit.
There was no way they’d pass up the sales on a remaster for 2. The RDR1 port was the genuine surprise for me, being 10 yrs late & all…

Again, we still not gettin' games, made from the ground up, for PS5, and Series X.

We gettin' PS4 games up-rezzed and optimized...

I would normally agree, but the asset quality of RDR2 was better than most next gen games. Getting a revamp will do wonders for it.

Thinks buying more servers can fix a bad patch
this is why I mainly play on PC now, since the PC version is essentially the next gen version with 60fps and next gen fidelity

But erm is this from the FTC court documents and therefore months old? Because Rockstar supposedly cancelled all these current gen ports/remasters after GTA Trilogy flopped?
So some small as mobile developer butcher a ps2 trilogy remaster and T2 cancel a next gen remaster for a game that regularly charts in the monthly top 10 and sometimes top 3.

This is sounds so stupid it's plausable.

If it happens it Will likely be great news for the single player and even if they fix the online I have doubts if they'll update it with regular DLC like GTA.

Wonder if there will be an upgrade path for the past gen version or if this will be some ridiculous definitive edition garbage that will demand a full price. I just want them to fix the screen space shadow problem on PC. Though if there was a decent upgrade path from PS4 I would probably just play that version I guess.
It is Take two. They are in the business of milking. So what do you think? Of course full price.

I mean it was widely reported that sales of GTA Trilogy put them off rereleasing so I dont know. If RDR2 on ps5 is an inhouse remaster or port w maybe its coming but who knows?
I mean as you said RDR2 charts well still and yet Rockstar abandoned it anyway and have given it shit support so why would they do any work on it lol

Knowing Rockstar, they will release that 60 fps version of Red Dead Redemption 2 that everyone is clamouring for but it'll be released for the PS5 and Xbox Series X as a barebones 'remaster' with an uncapped framerate when the PS6 and Xbox Next are out. Probably.

Rockstar make great games but their marketing just sucks. No PC version of Red Dead Redemption. Check! No ray-tracing enhancements for GTA V on PC. Check! No 60 fps patch for Red Dead Redemption 2 on current-gen consoles. Check! Just disappointment after disappointment really.

GTA 6 will be great, I am sure, but I am not that excited for it. I'd love to see a remake of Bully though or Bully 2 but the way the politically correct world works these days it will probably be a neutered experience anyway so as not to offend minority groups. *sigh*
