Why?

The old one is somewhat iconic.

Interesting, never knew that. It seems greatness is a family trait for those lot.

With the rise of Adolf Hitler in the 1930s, both Dassler brothers joined the Nazi Party, with Rudolf reputed as being the more ardent National Socialist.[1] Rudolf was drafted, and later captured, while Adi stayed behind to produce boots for the Wehrmacht and then broke away from the Nazi Party.[2] The war exacerbated the differences between the brothers and their wives. Rudolf, upon his capture by American troops, was suspected of being a member of the SS, information supposedly supplied by none other than his brother Adi.[3]

yea

Damn it...semantic satiation got me again.

The word Reebok sounds really weird to me now.

reebok, reebok, ree, bok, reebok reebok reebok reebok reebok ree of bok,
bok of ree, reebok, reebok

Didn't Reebok use this logo for a while in the mid 2000's, shortening the name to RBK. I remember some football shirts changing to it.

Shiiiiiiiii-it, son!

Pumps for Life!

One of the 5 greatest sneakers ever made, period. Eternally fresh.

Anyway, the vector was a great logo...this triangle thingy is so non-descript. I mean, if that's going to be the logo for Reebok's Crossfit/exercise stuff, that's fine - but the vector is their swoosh. Why get rid of it?

When I was kid they used to sell copies with the name Reebook in Estonia. It looked so funny and I got a sports bag with the name printed large on the side. A friend had Adibass shoes.

To not just ramble they should have stuck with the old logo. Too many logos like this.

First logo isn't even a logo, I've always despised the second one, so for me it's a step up from 'shit' to 'half a shit"

Rebook sucks anyway, so it's all the same.

Far as I know they're transitioning from being sports-oriented to focusing on fitness and health, meaning yoga, Crossfit, and stuff like that. Makes more sense with that context.

Fake edit: Yeah, that's what the article says too. New logo definitely evokes that feel more than the old one.

never knew reebok is british and used to have the flag as their logo
1895 though? goddamn that's older than adidas and nike right?

Reebok is pure garbage, same with Nike. I tend to stick with Adidas or Puma.

Really? I have worn Reebok for the last 20 years and they always stand up really well to heavy use on the basketball court. Growing up my friends had Nike and they always wore out way before my shoes did. I currently have Zigtech basketball and running shoes as well as a pair of the Shaqnosis. They are all comfortable and have stayed in good shape.

As far as the new logo goes...I hate it.

Hmm I've seen them use that logo before, is it just now they've made it their only logo now?

I swear I've seen that new logo on a few of their jackets and track pants a year or two ago.

Nope.

They already have an iconic logo. Even though they kinda diluted the brand with a whole bunch of different variations like the Rbk one in the past decade or so, they should stick with it.

Also no way they've been using that font since 1895? That's the same font as the 80s Apple Computer logo.

Looked it up, they were called J W Fosters & Sons until 1958 and 'rhebok' is a gazelle apparently.
